Five Days Later

Peace was restored. King Lockhart survived his encounter with the wicked Akmong Sus and immediately began work rebuilding Brinebourne. Ying Yang Yang were handsomely rewarded with ten thousand gold pieces and all adventuring parties were heralded throughout the realm. The twenty one heroes were collectively known as The Seven Parties, each famous for playing a vital role in the Battle of Brinebourne and the thwarting of Akmong.

You are tired. You, your two party members, and the other six parties all travel back to that sleepy tavern in South Warren. When you step through the entrance of The Mellow Canary where you had met some time ago, the patrons inside are waiting. Drinks are raised in your honor and a night of drinking, feasting, and merriment is had by all.

As the night closes, you raise a mug to your fellow two party members and thank them for their friendship. The road ahead remains uncertain for your trio, but you remain thankful to have protected one another throughout it all.

Main Quest #1: Epilogue

For those who enjoyed playing up the character stuff, feel free to drop an epilogue for your character! Not necessary, just if you'd like

Thanks for playing! I loved it, the roleplaying stuff from everyone was the best. I would definitely love to do a s2 far down the road if people are interested. Feel free to talk about what worked and what didn't if you'd like, I know some of the item stuff could be fixed and it will be so don't worry. I've got thoughts of my own but I'm interested in hearing what people might like another go of it to look like

GG TY!

Format was great honestly.

I think a lot of people were overwhelmed or felt behind.... honestly, 95% of the time I posted stuff was during my lunch break at work which meant I only had time to read the opening and see what Spin or Jamie did before I posted what I was going to do. I'd catch up after the fact. And that's why I liked the "party" aspect a lot because I had people I could focus on working with while being too busy at work to actively participate.

It was fun. And super casual. The roleplaying was great. And we need more of that around here!

The only thing I can think of would be 48 hour rounds instead of 24 hour ones. More time to get into the roleplays if ya want to and laxer / less pressure.

I’m terrible at role playing so I just went with an over sexual Booberella. Thanks for hosting! This was the first time I ever did anything like this and it was a lot of fun. I hated that I dropped the ball on the last round :/

I thought it was fun! The write ups were great and I could tell a lot went in to the story.

Maybe more interaction between groups? It was a weird mix between competitive but not competitive too.

I'm not sure that would help, as some of the days were like 2 simple individual tasks, so 48-hour days would really drag for the more active people.

Other than fixing the stupid mage-hand inspiration bullshit, I think maybe shortening the future sessions into 10-levels or something might be better? I know I started losing steam from a flavor-perspective in the second half of the game (before Rodney fully removed any will to care late in the game).

I'm not sure how feasible it is, but if there was a way to make it slightly less RNG-based, as some decisions were decidedly "better" than others, but would then result in the worst outcome. Could even bring in the dice rollers more? It's been a long time since I've played DnD, so I forget what all you could do in this regard.

I liked the team idea, I just unfortunately joined late and had a team that was busier than the others, so there was very little opportunity to strategize (not that it probably would have mattered much -- RNG).

Maybe next time keep teams, but have fewer teams comprised of more members each. Might help keep some of the other teams feeling like they have a chance later into the campaign.

I think some days off or a few 48 hour deadlines sprinkled in there would have been my only suggestion. Not every day but just enough so had a little bit more time to write up the more creative tasks.

Randall wanted to kill Faerora.
That was the only negative.

Tuuluuwaq wasn't feeling well. The sight and the smell of the tavern were conjuring up really bad memories from before and it was about to make him sick.

He mustered up some strength, and entered the tavern. There was joy and merriment all around, with many people raising glasses and toasting the Seven Parties. He walked over to Priggat, tapped his old friend on the shoulder and said "thanks again for the help". The ratfolk turned towards him, smiled, and raised his small glass in response.

He then looked across the room and saw Booberella sitting at a table with a large crowd of men from Brinebourne all gathered around. "She must be telling a pretty interesting tale" he thought to himself, before breaking out in a mild chuckle. He raised his large paw when he saw her look up, and she responded by moving each breast up and down individually. "That's one crazy elf" he thought, as he moved his way towards the back of the tavern, where he spotted a lone quiet table.

He sat down and had a moment to reflect. It had been an interesting and trying journey. One he almost didn't make it out of, if it hadn't been for those two friends of his. He knew that they meant well, no matter what they could or could not do along the way. He would travel with them anywhere.

After swatting away the barkeep for what felt like the third time, he spotted someone from across the tavern. It was Khanarak. He was bellied up to the bar enjoying the local brews.

"Ooof" Tuuluuwaq said, remember the last time those two were in this bar together. That was what started his whole drunken spell. Although, Khanarak was nice enough to walk him back to his tent afterwards. The beast did not need to show Tuuluuwaq that level of friendship, but he had, and Tuuluuwaq felt terrible that he couldn't do more to help him when he'd gone missing.

Just then Khanarak waved over to Tuuluuwaq, motioning for him to come join him for a drink. "Well, one can't hurt, I guess" he said as he began to stand up, completely forgetting the sick sensation he had felt not more than five minutes ago.

"I think I at least owe him that" he thought as he headed off towards the bar...
