"GUARDS! AFTER HIM!" you hear King Lockhart shout.

The twenty-one of you are escorted through the arena's staging area and are met by the King as he descends the stairs from his viewing balcony.

"There is no time for apologies on my end." he says to you frantically. "Chase down Akmong and the reward money can still be yours. QUICKLY!"

You peer through the crowd in the distance as Akmong pushes himself through the townsfolk, eventually vanishing around a corner an into an alley. The guards free of you of your binds as quickly as possible and you take off after him.

"HE WILL TRY TO ESCAPE BENEATH THE KEEP!" you hear Lockhart shout behind you as you race through the crowd.

You turn the alley where Akmong was last spotted, but he is nowhere to be seen. Two of the Kingsguard move ahead of you and show you the way to get beneath the keep.

You enter through a stone doorway and descend down a flight of stairs into a large hall lined with pillars. Water drips from the ceiling and into shallow puddles on the cold floor. Two rats skitter across the floor before you, fighting over a piece of old bread. The hideout is filled with supplies. You see provisions, food rations, weapons, and medical tools.

"One of our hideouts throughout the city. Used in case the city is ever under siege." one of the guards states as he sees you looking around curiously.

The other Kingsguard chimes in. "There is a passage through here somewhere but it is a well guarded secret. Akmong would have known it. He will use the passage to try to escape the city!"

You begin looking around. If Akmong is hiding down here, you'll find him.



Main Quest #1: Secret Passage

Akmong has used a hidden passageway to try to escape. Attempt to find it. Choose as a party.

A. Look behind an old bookshelf
B. Lift the sewer grate
C. Pull on a conspicuous wall torch
D. Attempt to find a false stone on the wall



Main Quest #2: Preparedness

You look around at the provisions strewn about. If you plan on delving deeper beneath the keep, maybe you should take advantage of these supplies. Choose an item to take individually.

A. Fifty feet of silk rope
B. Torch
C. Pick axe
D. Bag of ball bearings
E. Climber's kit
F. Grappling hook
G. Bedroll
H. Waterskin
I. Flask of oil
J. Portable ram




Bonus Quest #1: Storage Room

There is a locked room at the back of this hideout. The guards tell you more storage is kept within. If you have a key, do you wish to unlock it?
