Awww please be good.
I wanna go back to theaters for this one
Rodney is a great guy. Oops, nevermind he's a terrible human being.
He likes his sandwiches to be Turkey and Swiss. Triangle cut. Let vern have his crust. Poison the part Rodney eats.

This can't be worse than the other Godzilla movies they've recently put out. Cut out most of the humans and go back in time and show that 'war' they mention in the trailer for 20 minutes, and this could be something.
Vern
Stargate that right there is the GAME WINNING vote bay bayyyyyyy

They get so bogged down with the human part is ridiculous. Like I'm here to see monsters fighting i don't care about a lot else.

Godzilla 2014 had a great slow burn structure that would've worked really well if they didn't (spoilers) kill off the only semi-compelling character in the first act. Still the best of the Monsterverse movies tho even if that's not saying much. It at least had really good atmosphere/concept
Kong Skull Island was wildly overrated. It looked nice and John C Reilly stole every scene he was in but...the positives stop there! Think it's also hurt by the fact that I loved PJ's King Kong and this was just so far inferior in every aspect. With that said, the second best of the bunch!
King of the Monsters is one I would've never watched but a couple friends wanted to come over to watch it, we had a few beers, and that ended up being the only valid way to watch it since it actually was sort of fun in a so-bad-it's-good kind of way. The dialogue/characters/plot were all so bad it bordered on parody, but it was fun to laugh at at least. And tbh the ending fight had some sick moments when it wasn't constantly cutting away to the unbelievably underdeveloped human characters (srsly what a waste of Chandler and Millie Bobbie Brown)
This one definitely seems like it'll be much more King of the Monsters than the other two. But tbh I'm sure I'll end up watching it anyway. Maybe it'll actually be intentionally fun this time!
I see everyone praising this one over the others, but I liked it just a little more.

Could not have cared less about the Millie Bobbie Brown group's storyline. It was, like, 25% of the movie just to lead up to the stupid whiskey thing that stopped mechagodzilla for a moment. I found the deaf girl's group much better, majorly because Kong was constantly involved, and the settings were neat. I also simultaneously loved the Hollow Earth stuff, and then hated how none of that interesting lore was expanded on any deeper before the plot moved on. The villains were garbage besides mechagodzilla, who would have been a lot more of a cool surprise if they hadn't spoiled him in the literal first trailer, lol.
Liked everything else. The CGI and fights were very good. Definitely would recommend seeing this in a theater, if you can.
Could not have agreed more about 11's storyline. The whisky thing was dumb.
Just let them fight lol.
I'm glad i watched it at home. It was ok. I wasn't overly impressed by anything. Did enjoy the fight scenes, could have done with more of that. Seemed like Kong storyline much better, so maybe i agree with RY the human componet there (deaf girl) made for better storyline. I dunno.
They really haven't gotten Godzilla stories right yet.

I thought it was the worst of the bunch tbh (: The 2014 Godzilla just keeps looking better in retrospect. But yet I still watch! idk I liked the more somber tone that one struck more than the goofiness of these recent ones. Which, goofy COULD be fine considering the very silly subject matter but good god is the dialogue in these movies painful
1. Godzilla (5/10)
2. Kong: Skull Island (5/10)
3. Godzilla: King of the Monsters (3/10)
4. Godzilla vs Kong (3/10)

human stuff bad. I don't have much more to say than that, but the deaf girl/Kong dynamic was at least cute and added something semi-interesting. So that's...something!
Fights were p good though honestly I liked King of the Monsters better in that department. I liked the brief moment where Kong seemed to be trying to do his classic jaw snap on Godzilla. It's kinda hard to believe this is the same character that stemmed from that movie! (:
Didn't like Mechagodzilla's design much tbh. They should've made him a thicc boi like the real Godzilla
