The original Pet Sematary does kinda suck
Kudos on singling out Caruso's "fuck you" from Session 9; I always laugh when I think about it
I know someone whose favorite John Carpenter movie is The Fog

I read a bunch of Junji Ito a few years ago. Uzumaki gets praise for being his longest and I guess most developed work but I think it doesn't quite work as a whole. It definitely has some interesting chapters and cool imagery but the end of the story just kind of happens and some of the vignettes are downright silly. There is one part involving people turning into snails that legitimately disturbed me though and got under my skin in a way no horror movie or story has.
Amigara Fault is definitely a good one. Glyceride will make your stomach church. Gyo straddles the line between being kinda silly and being horror, but it's about the ocean which automatically terrifies me so it worked for me.
I like his sillier ones as well; The Sad Tale of the Principal Post is so dumb it makes me laugh every time (it's a very quick read at only four pages): https://imgur.com/gallery/qqGe7
He did a really cute one called Junji Ito's Cat Diary based on his real life cats, framed as if they're spooky and devious but actually they're just harmless adorable cats. I def recommend even though it's not scary.
Love that he did officially-sponsored guest artwork for Pokemon as well:

I just went to the biggest movie place in my city and figured y'all would enjoy some pics since the horror section has TONS of sub-categories, staff recommendations, and awful movies in general. Featuring such categories as "Christploitation," "Bigfoot," and "Lil' Bastards":

I just replied to your Facebook message asking where this was, if this is the same place where Ghoulies on VHS was.
The most magical place ever. |
Different place actually! Same neighborhood. This one is all movies and has a vast selection of hard to find, bootleg, foreign, documentaries, music films, arthouse, experimental, etc. The other one is all used movies/music/vidya.
