Loved the premiere.

I firstly loved the new intro. The upbeat nature of it is creepy in a fake utopia kinda sense. Having that intro followed by the opening origin sequence was also pretty unsettling.
I don't think the present-day story will ever really relate to the cave one, but I think they're just trying to highlight parallels. There are parallels with adopting a child that's not yours (Nora) or it could be an alt-allegory to Eve (the missing daughter's name is Evie).
Love the new villain, the sheep scene was so wtf. Guess animals can't die outside? |

Last night's ep was really astounding. I didn't really give a shit about Tom very much, but the speech at the end was cool. I guess we're supposed to assume:
|
That it's made up, and they're creating their own new movement to be a catalyst to the GR. It's a brilliant idea, and I feel like the show is establishing that it's about how faith is designed, created, and executed.
I also like that they're introducing an antagonist that rejects faith. |

last nights episode was so sad :(
i love that they just answered so many questions in one episode. i cant believe there are only 4 left. its gonna be Garvey vs. Murphey at the end.
I think the girls are definitely not departed. Nora eclipses Matt as my favorite character now. The sheer amount of acting that went through those last 20 minutes was insane.

This definitely was my favorite series of all time. I'll put some mild spoilers, but none of them will really ruin the show:
|
I was kind of disappointed that we didn't get a more satisfying finish to John, Erika, Tommy, and Jill in the finale. We got to see them briefly, but they don't get a tight bow like Kevin & Nora did. I also think the story telling aspects of S3 just weren't as captivating as Season 2. It was much more choppy.
Things I loved:
-The finale, Nora's story
-Matt's lion episode
-The trampoline
-The submarine scene
-The Grace and Christopher Sunday characters
-Getting brief returns of minor/dead characters throughout the series: Kevin Sr., Evie, Mary, Michael, Christine, Meg, Patty, the mom, the dog guy, etc.

I'm happy to hear that. I wish they would've replaced the Kevin Sr. arc with a Jill/Tommy episode.

I hope Amy gets the same level of success that Carrie Coon is getting.
But I also love Carrie Coon
