But yes, I'm so fucking stoked for this!

For months people got all upset about that Suspiria was getting a remake claiming that it'll 'probably be trash like all the other remakes'. I've always stood my ground about the fact that this was going to be different than the 'norm', ever since I heard who was gonna direct it. Luca Guadagnino is an artist who won't let studio expectations or anything like that effect his vision. He's essentially a 'Kubrick' of our age in that he's a versatile director who knows what he's doing with each genre he experiments with.

But most people were just jumping on the hate train. Have had to prove that point numerous times to people in the FB comments, most were pretty stubborn about it afterwards still.

Which is sad. But what's good though is that this trailer sparked a lot of hope in people. Am sad they didn't have that hope beforehand and actually did research instead of blindly hating. But yeah, better late than never!

Also, Thom Yorke is making his soundtrack debut! Which gets me hella excited! His band-mate Jonny Greenwood has been doing scores for over a decade now and has made some genuine masterpieces (There Will Be Blood, You Were Never Really Here, Phantom Thread, The Master, etc), so Thom has had many years to observe and get accustomed to what it takes to make a score. Given his often strange artistic decisions with actual Radiohead albums, I have full faith in that he'll truly make an unsettling score for the history books. It already sounds great in the teaser!

Am excite
