Man oh man, the games of group B today were t e n s e!! Both Iran and Morocco fuckin stepped up their game nicely! Though it was just a little too late. But man, that was a real close call!
First games of the round of 16:
Uruguay vs Portugal
Russia vs Spain
Tomorrow, I'm really hoping Australia can pull it out, but wouldn't be sad if Denmark made it instead. France has been doing great as expected!
Group D... my poor Iceland... after such a great start you'd think that they'd ride it out. But man, that loss against Nigeria kinda made me lose hope that they'll make it past the group stage which makes me sad as I wanted to see an underdog run that was similar to their Euro2016 run! Also - ofcourse shocked about Argentina, but hey, guess one of the soccer giants always has to fall in the group stage otherwise it wouldn't be a proper world cup. | 'Oh my god, it's full of stars!'

2002: 1998's world champions (France) finish last in their group.
2010: 2006's world champions (Italy) were last in their group (even below New Zealand of all countries).
2014: 2010's world champions (Spain) were third in their group, and were absolutely destroyed by the big dogs in the group.
2018: 2014's world champions (Germany) don't make it past the group stage and are last in the group.
Only exception in that chain is Brazil who won the 2002 world cup, and made it to the quarter finals in 2006.
But damn, that's quite the coincidence!! | 'Oh my god, it's full of stars!'
