Didn't think a seperate thread in the movies/tv thread would do any good, so thought I'd just post it in here to spare a thread.
But anyways, I didn't expect the English dub to be released so quickly after the original Japanese version got released.
The animation is a bit iffy in my book, but yeah, the internet has given it enough shit this last week, and I honestly don't have to much of a problem with it despite being a big fan of all the generation designs. It's always nice seeing them experiment though. The Z-moves, Alola-forms and the 4 Guardian Pokemon representing each island is pretty nice. The entire premise has such a different feel than most generations. The basic premise that is used throughout the majority of the generations has admittedly become a bit stale, so seeing such a drastic change is so welcoming!
I FINALLY got my 3DS yesterday. I bought Pokemon Moon as well as Alpha Sapphire, and then also Mario Kart 7. Pokemon X should be coming in the mail soon, so I'm hyped to get all of these started. I just started Moon an hour ago, and it's absolutely amazing so far! I have all the games on Gameboy, and the majority of my DS Pokemon games are still in Holland, so I can't get a hold of those obviously. But I'm liking the graphics and the change in structure so far with this new game! :)
I love the fact that when they see a Tauros in the middle of the road, that they just brush it off and are like 'meh, someone else will deal with it later.', like it isn't at all a Pokemon who can seriously fuck anyone up with little effort.
Got the 3ds 2 weeks ago, and seriously spent so much on increasing my library that I'm going to wait a long time until I decide to buy another game.
Games I have right now:
Mario Kart 7
Super Mario Bros 2
Mario Party: Island Tour
Super Mario 3D Land
Donkey Kong Returns 3D
Pokemon X
Pokemon Alpha Sapphire
Pokemon Moon
I've played all of them besides Pokemon X/AS, just because I wanna play all the pokemon games independently, whereas with the Mario/DK franchises it doesn't particularly matter if you play them all mixed up.
But I'm glad I made the investments, a pretty stellar library to start off with imo.
