Well the Watchmen are making their return to comics, so this makes sense. They're part of the DC Universe now. At least they keep teasing it.

I'm actually glad it takes place after the graphic novel.

it's tentatively the last season. I recall Lindelof saying that this season's going to tell a complete story but he wouldn't close the door entirely on there being a second season

yeah, idk about the mesmerism stuff, not to mention the...white supremacists become Dr. Manhattan(?) plot. I mean the graphic novel had psychic squid (and y'know, the whole Dr. Manhattan thing) as far as "out-there" stuff goes but for some reason those sat better
I don't think the payoff will live up to all the interesting stuff they set up (sound familiar??) but I'm definitely along for the ride right now. Penultimate episode should be great since I'm assuming it's gonna be mostly a Dr. Manhattan flashback. I think it'll be this show's "photograph is in my hand" chapter |

I didn't read the spoiler, but this is what I was wondering about the series, whether it was a one-and-done thing or if there'd be more, because I do plan to watch this one sometime.
