"Everything is so fragile. There is so much conflict, there is so much pain... you keep waiting for the dust to settle and then you realize this is it; the dust is your life going on."

During the evening, the survivors realized that the voice whispering to them was a demon feeding on their paranoia. A Thesulac was its proper name, as it appeared in a book of demons that they had found behind the main counter in the hotel's lobby.

After it had fed on Jamie's fears, it had become corporeal.

That's when the group decided they needed to strike.

"Now!" shouted Ari, as he rushed towards the Thesulac, broad axe in hand.

It really was lucky that this hotel came equipped with a bunch of weapons, he thought.

Eben and Badger flanked him on either side.

The Thesulac knocked the axe out of Ari's hands with one of it's tentacles, and took down Eben and Badger with two more.

Then Badger found himself with a tentacle wrapping tightly around his throat. He couldn't breathe!

oh god, he thought. I'm dying.

thisisbad sprung into action, grabbing hold of one of the tentacles and shoving it into an electrical outlet.

Electricity ran through it, zapping thisisbad in the process, and instantly killing the Thesulac demon.

Some others ran over to see if thisisbad was alright.

He struggled to get out what would be his last words.

"oohhh, t-this...i-is...ba-ad."

thisisbad has died.

"He saved my life," Badger said as he massaged his throat.

"Well I guess that's the end of that then," Eben said. "It's probably safe to stay here now."

"No way," Wikey said. "Now is the time that we all get out of here."

"We can't go yet!"

"Why not?"

"We still haven't found who killed Herm."

"Right. We can't just let the killer --- "

"Or killers."

" --- or killers, walk free."

"So what are we supposed to do?"

"We should hold court or something."

"Whatever we do, nobody's going anywhere."

It is now Day 8. With 12 alive, it takes 7 to lynch.
Day will end in 24 hours or when someone is lynched, whichever comes first.

Buffy has been lynched.

"A letter of condemnation from the deputy mayor - that's got to have some weight. So... fingers crossed!"

Accusations were swirling.

"Where were you the night that Herm died?"

Buffy soon found herself on the receiving end of that particular question.

"In my quarters like we were supposed to be," she answered. "Where were you?"

"Sorry, we ask the questions. You answer."

"Why am I on trial?" she asked.

"Again, you ask us questions. Just give us details on where you've been during every night we've been together."

"Bite me."

She could feel all eyes on her.

She didn't like this feeling at all.

The paranoia demon was dead, thankfully, or it would have had a feast today.

"Why don't you just answer the questions?"

"Look," Buffy said. "I have a lot of places I need to be. I don't have time for this."

"Then just tell us what we want to know."

"Fine," she said. "Sometimes during the nights, I would go and check on people, make sure they were okay. I was worried."

"Did you check on Herm the night that he died?"

"No."

"Are you sure?"

"Yes."

"And that's all you'd do, is check to make sure people were okay?"

"Yes."

"Liar!" Redster shouted.

He lunged at Buffy, and Badger and Canuck went after him.

"Good," she said. "Take this violent monster away. He's probably the one you're looking for."

But Badger and Canuck didn't get up to stop Redster. They got up to join him.

"What are you guys doing?" Buffy asked as they all grabbed hold of her.

"Let go of me!" she shouted.

Nobody did anything to stop what was happening.

Either they were too afraid to, or they were just as sure that Buffy was bad.

She was brought out into the courtyard, where she was beaten to death.

Buffy has died.
