"It isn't mine. The memory, it isn't mine. And I shouldn't have to carry it. It isn't mine. Don't make me sleep again."

Phil Coulson had showed them to their quarters on the S.H.I.E.L.D. base.

Finally, Eben thought to himself. We'll be able to get a good night's sleep.

As he began to drift off, he sensed someone approaching and heard a whisper.

"Hey, you awake?" the voice asked.

Eben couldn't quite make out who it was, but before he could ask, he felt a sharp pain in his gut. Instinctively, he moved his hands toward the pain and felt something sticking out of him.

What is that? he asked himself. And is this blood?!?

The attacker lifted the knife that had been stuck in his gut and prepared to strike again, when Eben let out a painful cry.

Within seconds, the security officers outside the door burst in, and made a sweep of the area, but found nothing, except Eben who was going to bleed out if they didn't do something.






Eben has survived an attack.






In the morning, everyone had gathered in the conference room.

Eben eyed everyone, wondering who it was who had attacked him in his room.

"When can we go home?" he asked Phil Coulson. "I've had just about enough of this."

"Hey," Mal piped up. "Has anyone seen Herm?"

"Yeah," Coulson replied. "I'm afraid I have some bad news."

Now what? they all wondered.

"Herm was found dead in his room this morning. We are currently handling the situation."

"How could that happen? Isn't this a secure facility? With cameras and sensors and everything?"

"The cameras caught nothing. Whoever did this made sure they wouldn't be seen."



Herm has died.

"It was probably whoever attacked me," Eben said angrily.

"It could very well be," Coulson replied. "And for that reason, I'm afraid none of you can return home just yet."

Multiple voices began speaking at once as people started accusing each other.

"We think we have the guy," Buffy said to Phil Coulson.

"Yeah," Canuck agreed.

"I always find it funny when scum get caught," thisisbad added.

Coulson looked at them.

"Well, who do you have?" he asked.

Eben and Ari entered the room, with Chris in tow.

They threw him down in front of Coulson.

"Hey, you've got the wrong guy!" Chris protested, and after a moment, said, "But I don't really care."

He grabbed a knife out of his boot and slit his own throat.

A couple of them turned away as blood spurted out of his neck, and he fell to the floor, gurgling, until he died.

Chris has died.

"Hmmm," said Coulson. "Definitely not the guy."

Buffy and the rest let out a chorus of desperate sighs.

"You guys are now becoming a danger to this base. You're all going in lockdown."

"I don't think so, sir," someone said as they burst into the room, motioning for the group to come with them.

Someone from behind, knocked Coulson out.

They all left, and boarded the Quinjet.

"Let's get out of here."
