I don't have a system that I can play this on (yet)...but I'm excited that it's coming out soon!

while I'm disappointed that I won't get to play this game right away, I'm also a little bit glad. Because I know that it will eat up so many hours of my life, and I won't want to do anything else for weeks...it happened with Fallout 3, and still does when I replay it.

I want it desperately but I have 2 papers due, a project due, and a class trip all within the first two days of release. I'll probably get it this weekend.

that's a very smart decision.

the sucky part for the hardcore fans who want to get it right away is that they will have to pay for the DLC or buy the game again down the road if they release the Game of the Year edition, like they did with Fallout 3 and New Vegas.

The game of the Year edition with all DLC included (if they're going to even do that) would probably come out cheaper than buying the game now plus the season pass. But that's the price you'll pay for wanting it right now as opposed to waiting months...I'm kind of glad I have nothing to play it on right now, even though I'm sure this game would still be the worth the $100 plus.

My brother has a PS4, so I got to play the game a little bit today.

Those molerats have evolved.

Anyone else like to delay the main quest in these games for as long as possible? I've been exploring the area around Concord, but haven't been there yet. lol

I spent the whole afternoon playing. I couldn't stop, but obviously eventually I did. I spent a lot of time building up settlements though, which is more fun than I thought it'd be! I finally visited Concord, but am now avoiding Diamond City for fear of advancing the storyline. lol

I hate when companions are more of a hindrance than a help...always getting right in your way when you're trying to interact with any other object, blocking doorways, pushing you off a ledge right into a battlezone. lol

I haven't been to Diamond City yet either.

Nick is pretty useful too for hacking into terminals that you're unable to.

So...at a certain point in the game,

I used to want to keep a variety of weapons on hand, but now I run with just a few. I can't remember what kind of gun it originally was, but the bullets I think explode on impact, it takes .308s and I've got the damage up to 72 or something like that. Anyway, it's my favourite cause it hurts everything. I renamed it Splodey. Then I keep a modded 10mm pistol and a sword (just incase), and lots of frag grenades. It's easier to just buy the ammo I need for a couple of guns than to try to keep them all stocked and loaded. The rest I store in a trunk in my Diamond City house. But I always have my carrying at capacity no matter how high it is. lol It's all the damn junk that I like to pick up that could be useful.

Swan is pretty frightening the first time you see it, especially when you're in the pond and it shoots out of the water right in front of you! Anyway, running away is important to survival. lol There's a spot nearby where you can hide and attack from where it won't follow you...I think there are raiders nearby though who should leave you alone if you don't venture too far into their territory while fighting the Swan.
