Far From Home was pretty fun.
I don't know if I want to watch this trailer or not. I'll see how long I can wait before I cave. | |

the trailer hints at a Brand New Day plot... Which was a comic arc I hated. But maybe it's a misdirect |
|
I got that too. | |

just got back from it. Prob have more to say about it later but for now I think I can safely say it's the best of the MCU Spidey movies. Still had a lot of the unshakeable Marvel misgivings but despite that it was a lot of fun and handled its premise better than I thought it would
also never in all my days have I heard an audience reaction like a couple points in this movie got. Pretty sure this guy behind me actually came during a certain moment, things got intense |
I just saw this yesterday! I'm replying to this particular post because I don't think I heard any audience reactions at all. The theatre was very quiet.
Anyway, I liked the movie a lot, it was very entertaining, although I found some of the scenes to move a little bit slowly. But it had some really, really cool moments.
I don't think spoilers are necessary at this point, but

it was awesome or should I say amazing, to see Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire's Spider-Men get to do things a little bit differently than in their own movies, ie. saving the villain and saving the girl. Garfield's scenes in particular were some of the best and his movies were my least favourite. But it's nice that they've sort of made those previous films something that newer fans of the MCU could go back and watch. I didn't expect May's death, but then we never really saw the Uncle Ben moment with Tom Holland, so while that was sad, it was a nice twist. |
