Cersei's vision of a queen taking her place, she assumes it's Margaery, but it has to be Dany.

I've always felt that it would be Sansa. I know that we have been told that the plan is to marry her to Harry the Heir, but I could see her being married off to Aegon by Littlefinger in an effort to increase his influence. if this happens, I think the natural progression of the story would be for Sansa to realize that she knows enough about the world of politics for her to no longer have a use for him (especially if she pieces together his role in Ned's death). It would be a fitting part of Sansa's story to fall in love and get married to her original vision of a gallant husband, only to have him taken away by Greyscale. |
When Aegon was introduced I immediately dismissed the Harry the Heir plot and thought Littlefinger had bigger ambitions for her as well, that could very well be the case.

Also other theories are that Aegon is a Blackfyre and they are trying to restore the Blackfyre line from the female line. We know the Golden Company was founded by a Blackfyre back before the rebellions took place.
In ADWD, Tyrion's chapter he and Illyrio talk about Cersei and the Golden Company. Can't remember the conversation but this quote sticks out.
"“Black or red, a dragon is still a dragon. When Maelys the Monstrous died upon the Stepstones, it was the end of the male line of House Blackfyre.” Makes me think he and Varys might be putting up a Blackfyre on the Iron Throne, maybe even Connington and Aegon might not know his true origins.

But you have to keep the big green field that Dany runs through bare-foot towards the red door in mind aa well. The only place I can imagine it may be in Braavos is the backside of the big ass sealord palace. But Dany remembers it more as like a private place. |
Not saying its a bad theory, just that we know that Willem and Oberyn signed the contract with the sealord in witness. Which means they where in Braavos for some time at least. |
If the theory that he is a Blackfyre is true would the Martell's back Aegon?
