i likes the intro and getting to start as a big daddy. I have 2 questions I’m sure will be answered eventually. 1. We can’t possibly be the same guy that shit himself in the face 10 years prior. So who are we playing as? Also, I see tennebam returns but do the other enemies for the first? Also does Jack return in any capacity? And when does this happen in conjunction with the first game? |

so I got some fill in info from audio tapes and from tennebaum. You are thgoing big daddy that shoots himself in the face and brought back after 10 years. So dumb but whatever. Th game starts after Ryan’s death but not sure in Fontaine yet. Th main antagonist was hired by Ryan as a therapist so that’s th connection to the first game
I don’t like how this game doesn’t highlight items you can pick up like in the first game. Makes the game take so much longer as my ocd kicks in and have to look at every square inch of the map. The map also starts viewed in close and moves slow. You have to back out to get a faster moving map. It’s fone but it’s annoying after getting used to the first game. Also, ADAM so far gives you the same special abilities. That’s lazy imo. Hopefully they introduce so new ones soon.
Using the drill is lots of fun and you also ge a rivet fun which is also fun to use. So far game is fun and the story is in its infancy but appealing to this point.

The 3rd level (Amusement Park/Museum) was my favorite level in either game so far. It took that spot over Fort Frolic.

There are some eerie audio tapes about a women and kids. I found the secret audio tape where she died of starvation because she was giving everything to the kids and how she feared for the kids after she dies. The room she is in has lit candles all around her body. Such a great design and creation. Also in this play through I'm not killing the cunty bitch ass kids. |

So I didn't post any spoilers for the last half of the game. The reasons are, I realized this is the exact same game as Bioshock 1 with the only differences are a couple weapons. Still I loved the game and it was fun, but it is very disappointing there weren't any new abilities to play with. The last half of the game I was able to use bees and making the enemies fight each other and not even use any weapons. It was so OP. Also, the hacking in this game is just awful. There are points I just wanted to rage and throw my controller through my TV. Wish they would have had an option to buy it out like in Bioshock 1. The most irritating thing for me in this game, was no boss fights. I was expecting some great end game boss fight, but there just isn't one. You have a huge onslaught at the end, but using the 2 abilities I mentioned above I was able to sit there and watch the computer kill itself and not do a damn thing.
On to the things I do like. The little sister orphanage was so well done. It was my favorite room of the entire game. It was spooky and extremely sad at the same time. The audio tape there just adds to the ambiance and the evil laughing in the back ground just put me on edge. Such a great piece of gaming there. The music was so good in this game and it did a really good job setting the mood. The Big Sister fights were very difficult. I had to fight one when I had no ammo early on and I had to rely on melee attacks. I died at least 20 times and it was so infuriating.
I did the good ending and saved everyone. It did give me ample amounts of ADAM to get everything I wanted. I feared I wouldn't by not killing the sisters but that wasn't the case.
I have the the DLC for Minerva's Den but I will pass on that for now as I want to play through Infinite first. 2 was a very good game and was an interesting take on how Rapture continued on after the first on ended. I did have to read the Wiki on both games just to see how everything was sewed in together. Definitely recommend this series to anyone gamer. |
