The problem with Heroes was it tried to have a sense of direction and building towards something greater, but ultimately it wasnt building towards anything. They tried too hard to build a mythology that seemed to be leading towards a larger climax, but the problem was that it created a universe where the mythology and the building story failed to reconcile each other..
