Just finished it earlier this evening. I liked it a lot, probably the best Pokemon game since HeartGold and SoulSilver (which probably doesn't mean much to a lot of people since opinions on each of the generations varies wildly). Alolan forms were cool. No HMs was cool. Trials instead of gyms were cool. Lillie's surprising character development was cool.

What are you talking about, those are my favorite games in the series? What I'm saying is that there's hardly consensus on the Pokemon games. I know a lot of people who hate Gen IV so my statement would have meant nothing to them.
