I propose we scrap the free for all nominations we currently have, and instead assign one person per month to take a turn. Perhaps they can nominate several albums and everyone can vote for their fav from there. This way everyone will get a turn, and we can guarantee that the music will be more varied.

This idea appears to have gone down well, so starting in March we are going to be running this differently. One person will be assigned at random to be our host for the month, and they will nominate up to five albums, one of which will then be voted for by everyone else.

Before we find out who our first host under the new setup is going to be, I need a list of confirmed participants going forward, so I know exactly who is up for selection. Consider this a signup thread. I'll auto-in those who have been regularly participating, so this is mostly for those of you who haven't participated previously. I'll keep this open until Friday, and then we'll find out who our host for March will be.

If you want to join in but missed signups, that's fine, but you will be waiting longer for your turn, as the people above will get first priority when it comes to selection.

The vote for changing the format is tied, so the sensible option is to stick to the status quo. We will stick to one album a month.

The way this will work is everyone will take a go nominating in a random order. I will omit myself from the process as the latest album was my pick. I did consider giving people who haven't had a go at all yet preference, but I've decided to keep it simple and make it completely random.

So without further ado, our first host under the new system will be...Christian! You lucky bastard.
