A few words about the setup

In almost every game people have some complaints about the setup, it's inevitable. Just to address a couple of things from this one:

- The Redirector was a huge role for Mafia, allowing them to control the SK kill every night. It nearly fucked with the balance. We never anticipated that such a situation could develop when we were checking the setup, and I think that's understandable given the odds on Nav targeting the Odd Night SK on N1, and Cody trying to kill the Even Night SK on the same night. It was one of those freak occurrences. I was fine with how it played out, even if I did feel a little bad for the SK's.

- Some might feel that Town was under powered. We disagree, they were just really unlucky with who died and when. Had IM lived a little longer he could have ressurected a player with a power role. Had Christian held off using his lie detector a while longer, it could have been invaluable. There was a Watcher and a Tracker, and the latter (Spin) caught Nav on N2. Had he lived long enough he could have exposed him as Redirector, intel town needed badly later on.

- There was no Doctor, which did make night phases after IM's death rather fatal indeed, but IM's role was so powerful that we felt justified in not including a standard Town Doctor. What we did nearly include was a backup Ressurector, something that I personally wish we had stuck with having thought about it. (This would have been Christian's role had we gone with it) Either that, or we should have added a Town BP into the mix.

- It should be pointed out that despite the fact that Mafia had control of two kills per night, this was still a close game and Town could still have won, until it got very near the end that is. Imagine how much closer it would have been had Mafia not had that extra kill?

- Finally, there was no standard Vigilante. We did have a variation on Vigilante in the form of Lamps role, The Fencer (which is essentially a role called Desperado we found on the MafiaWiki) This role didn't have any margin for error, which might seem weak to some. But it should be kept in mind that even if Lamps failed his kill, it would have provided town with useful info. Because he died if he targeted town or SK, that would have ruled out his target as Mafia if his kill failed.

Overall, I feel things were balanced well.

Apologies to Jamie btw, who apparently has landed three bastard roles in a row now!
