"Chapter 3: Want to help me catch some scum?"

The people of Florin City were mourning the death of Queen Rodney. No one was safe it would seem, lowborn and noble alike. The town had gotten it wrong the previous day, and condemned an innocent TT to death. Would they get it wrong again?

There was a hunger for vengeance, but truth be told, nobody appeared to have any leads. That is until one man stepped forward.
"Ahem, can I have your attention," Christian said, motioning to everyone. Everyone gathered around him in silent anticipation. When they were settled, Christian started pointing at people randomly.
"Herm, are you Town? Want to help me catch some scum?" he asked.
Before Herm had chance to answer Christian turned away from him and pointed to someone else.
"Timmah, are you Town? Want to help me catch some scum? Nav? Penner? Brian, are you Town? Want to help me catch some scum?"
Christian went on this way until he had asked everyone in the crowd the same question. When he stopped everyone looked around in confusion, but slowly they began to answer him one by one. He noted their responses keenly. But he was only interested in one persons response; Jamie's

"I'm town even though I don't seem it," Jamie said.
Christian smiled triumphantly.
"This man is a liar!" he proclaimed. The crowd gasped.
"No I'm not," Jamie said. "You’re following a misguided lead if i’m reading what you’re putting down. I'm a Miller."
Christian turned and walked away.
"Christian reappear I want to talk to you" Jamie called out after him.
Christian did come back eventually...carrying a noose in his hands.
"Who is that for?" Jamie asked, laughing nervously.
"It is for you," Christian replied, throwing it around Jamie's neck.
A few of the crowd joined Christians side. Then more did. Jamie pleaded with them to no avail.
Spin and Primate threw the other end of the noose around a nearby tree and several others stepped forward, getting ready to pull it.
"A Miller who knows they are a miller?" Spin laughed. "Inconceivable!"
"Any last words?" Christian asked Jamie.
Jamie was silent for a long time. Finally he spoke.
"Christian I want a full heartfelt apology your first post day 3 after I die and flip town."
Christian shook his head. He gave the signal. Spin, Primate and the others pulled at the other end of the noose, hoisting Jamie into the air. He slowly suffocated to death. He wagged his tail one last time and barked sadly.
"Fuck this game," he murmured.

Jamie has been lynched.
