So many major moments tonight...I can't help but think a lot of them would have been better in previous episodes. Not to say that it wasn't a good one. It was. My only problem was that they tried to conclude so many stories in such a short space of time that some were a bit lackluster.
The moments they actually took their time on were great. The walk of shame was spot on, one of the best scenes of the season by far. Likewise, the last scene with Jon was done well too. Thankfully Olly only played a bit part in it.
Overall, it hasn't been a bad season. But I'd have to say it was my least favorite thus far. It didn't help that Dorne was handled so poorly. All those scenes were so meh.
I think they should extend the seasons from here onward. 10 episodes really isn't enough for a story of this scale, especially when they average in at about 45 minutes rather than a full hour. With each season the challenges of adapting such a huge story make themselves more apparent. | Also, what was the deal with Varys just appearing out of nowhere at Meereen?
I swear I thought Tyrion was imagining him at first. I was expecting him to fade away when they finished talking. |
