Putting Bioshock on hold to play this first.
First time I will have played a telltale game, I've heard good things!
The reason I didn't try the walking dead one is because I no longer watch the show, though this is probably a rare instance when the games were better than the material they adapted!

Well...this is amazing. Every single decision I make I wonder what ramifications they are going to have later on. I think I am only early into the game.
|
Just made it to the second King's Landing part, but quit there. I have no idea how long each episode is so I could be halfway through for all I know! Anyway, the attention to detail is crazy. I picked Royland as Sentinel, but I didn't value his advice that much in the meeting that followed, because I thought it was idiotic, and in response Duncan said "You have chosen your sentinel my lord, but I feel you are still conflicted"
Game got it spot on! I picked Royland because I have a feeling having him on side to keep the soldiers in line will be important later on. But I worry that I am totally wrong. Then again, I also worry that I have made a huge mistake in choosing to receive Ramsay in the great hall. We will see!
My favourite characters to play so far are Ethan and Mira. (I am aware that there are at least two other characters to be introduced to)
Mira's audience with Cersei is amazing, and there were many times in that conversation I thought I was saying the right thing, only for it to be turned on its head and used against me. FUCK YOU CERSEI. Mira is going to be very fun to play. Intrigue in King's Landing. I just hope I don't get Ned Stark'd |

Ramsay. You little shit! I did my best to appease you and you stabbed me in the neck anyway!
Fuuuuuck you.
I should have listened to Royland. At least then I would have died with some honour intact. I am not sure how these games work, but I wonder if there was any possibility of avoiding this death. People who have played telltale games before might be able to answer this.
I tried to play Ethan as a diplomatic character. I did my best to appease Ramsay by bending the knee. I managed to persuade him that giving Whitehall all the Ironwood was a mistake, at which point I was thinking "Gee I'm so smart, Ramsay is so easy to manipulate"
But then...fucking hell, he decided he wanted to take my sister hostage. Ughhhh. Ramsay you sociopathic fuck. Anyway, I am disappointed the option to let her go wasn't there, but at the same time I was hoping that the option I did choose would appease Ramsay (I decided to try volunteer myself as a hostage instead).
For a second I thought Ramsay admired this...then he stabbed me in the neck. God damn it. |

New characters are great, Asher and his partner especially. Rodrik was a surprise. I figured we would take up the Ironrath story with a character already introduced, such as Lady Forrester. But this does make more sense, and Rodrik seems pretty cool.
Anyways, this is what I did:
- I decided not to forge a letter from Margaery
- I kissed Lord Whitehall's ring (I lol'd when I read this at the end, also lol'd when it said "Lord Whitehall will definitely remember that")
- I persuaded Eleana to marry me
- I kept the nights watch guy's secret about the knife. (NETWORKING)
- I attacked the Lannister assassin rather than run away. (Networking again. That kid is gonna be useful down the line, I am sure of it!)
I liked this better than episode 1. There was still some introductory shit going on, what with the story at the wall, and Asher, but everything else advanced the story nicely. |

Does anybody else share my suspicions about the Maestar at Ironrath? He strikes me as a Littlefinger type character and I am sure he is up to no good. When he insisted on giving Rodrik milk of the poppy I refused, thinking it might be poison or some shit. |

At least it isn't as bad as Telltale's Walking Dead. They had zombies in that. SO UNORIGINAL.

Based on the first two episodes, I'd say the obvious bet for the council mole would be the maester. He is shady as fuck.
This was the most intense one yet. Particularly MIra's storyline. It felt like the rug was pulled out from under her as soon as Cersei made that comment about Tyrion.
Also, that scene with Britt. Lol. I tried my best to avoid the fight, but it pissed me off when he attacked regardless, so I made sure to make him suffer. I hope that ain't gonna come back to haunt me! |

Some weighty decisions to make this episode, hardest one yet. I'm not even sure there was supposed to be a way to outwit Tyrion. Kind of dumb that you bring wine from Cersei's room though. Asher's army is shit. Several of them died straight away, including The Beast! Well worth the trouble.
I left Rodrick behind too, but I spared Duncan. I am hoping you get the option to use him to bullshit the Whitehalls in the future, but it's more likely he will betray us again at some point! Never mind. I am curious if the traitor was Royland for anybody else? I figured whoever you chose as Sentinel, the other one would be the traitor, but maybe that isn't the case. |

Damn, that was brutal. I can't believe that fat shit Ludd got away.
I played with cunning strategy apparently!
One thing became apparent in this episode: Ser Royland is the best sentinel.
I am curious what happens if you call off the ambush/poison attempt and agree to marry Gywn. Do things just go to shit a different way? |
