Whilst I am working on season 3 of Ice and Fail, here is a great sci fi adventure starring our friends at FE!

This is a fun game called FTL, a project funded by kickstarter a while back.

Episode 1: The FE



A rebellion was tearing the space federation apart. Facing total defeat, a ragtag group of federation loyalists were tasked with escorting vital intel across several systems to try and turn the war around.



The FE was the strongest ship of the Federation.




And this was its crew...



Paulus was the captain of the ship. Vernon and Henry were not his first choice for crewmen, but their loyalty was unquestionable. He would have to make do with them and hope to recruit more to his cause on the course of his journey.

Before setting off on the mission, Paulus assigned positions to his crew. Vernon he sent to the weapons room. Henry was sent to the engine room. The captain himself stayed in the cockpit, flying the ship.



Paulus took a look at the map of the sector.



The FE was far away from its destination, and had to explore the sector for resources before moving on.

Upon their first jump, they encountered federation loyalists.



Commander, I think these federation loyalists have ulterior motives...

I agree, can I shoot them? I really want to shoot something!

Be quiet. These people are our friends.

A little while later a distress call is received from another system.



Henry, power up the engines. Prepare to jump to lightspeed. We are going to go and check that out.

When the FE arrived, the source of the call began hailing them.



Ew...I aren't going down there! I might catch something!

It is our duty to help. We are the federation!

Paulus, Vernon and Henry beamed down to try and help control the riotous crowds.



Power to the people! Those oppressed masses really showed their leaders!

They almost killed us.

Indeed they did? Can I shoot missiles at the planet? Pleeeease!

No. We had better get out of here. Henry, take us out of here.

Unfortunately, the system they jumped to next was been patrolled by a rebel rigger.



Oh dear! Vernon...shoot them! Target their shields!

Oh my god, about time!

Vernon delivered a missile but it missed the shields. Despite this, it was enough to scare the rebels into powering up their engines.



Take that scum!

Don't let them escape! Fire on their engines.



I am the king.



Oh man. Let's light up and celebrate.

No. We must get out of here. The rebels are advancing through this sector as we speak.

You are no fun Paul! Ok, I will go fire up the engines.

Wait a minute Henry...we are being hailed by a nearby planet.



What is a mantis?

They are a vicious alien species who murder and pillage.

Sounds like Vernon has some more scum to kill.

Yes, we should eliminate them. Set a course for the camp Henry.

Ok!

Before they could reach the Mantis war camp, they had to pass through another system hidden in a nebula first.



Upon jumping, they encountered an automated rebel scouting ship.



Omg, permission to fire captain?!

Um...no. I think we should sit this one out. We need to conserve our strength.

Naw naw! We can destroy this ship easily.

No...let's move on.

When the FE jumped into the next system, they discovered the Mantis war camp as expected.



Vernon! Fire a missile at those bastards.

Yes sir!



Vernon, concentrate fire on the enemy shields.

My missile missed :( But my laser has damaged them slightly.

Oh shit! Captain, the enemy have fired a laser at the engine rooms. It has damaged the engines and caused a fire in the next room!



Henry, get out of there, I am going to vent it to put out the fire!

Got it!

Vernon, aim your missiles at their weapons sytems!

Good work guys! Let's move on.



If someone is on board, we should try and rescue them. They could make a fine addition to the crew!
