Maybe keep the King stays in power thing BUT, make it so that if the hand throws somebody into the dual and that person wins, that same person cannot be sent into the dual again (via the hand) while the same King reigns for at least three rounds or something . Other than that, I wouldn't change much (except jury throwing some votes the way of the great Daario Naharis, but that is out of your control, haha)
