the thing that is a little unsettling to me about it is that it's clear those votes wouldn't be enough to save rose based on the sheer volume of the votes she already had so it seems like a bit of a waste to use it there instead of waiting for a future, closer vote.

I might have missed something but why did Vern ask Moose if she can track the same person on back to back nights? |
Because she saw Perry at Buffy's N1 but later said she WATCHED buffy night 1 (saw perry and zack) and tracked Perry night 2 (tracked to Buffy) |
That was bad wording on my part, so let me clear it up for people.
I WATCHED Buffy and SAW Perry visit her N1.
I TRACKED Perry and he paid Herm a visit. I did not SEE anyone else visit Herm because I was TRACKING Perry.

Keep up Matty |

I'm looking at that end of day vote count and I see Christian and Matt, who are very unlikely to be mafia given their ALL CAPS GANG claims. Herm was town. I tend to think Ahoda was town. Then you have all of those unknown votes. The FOS one could be town, based on the Nofo vote the day before. Makes me think that mafia may have piled on rose and then threw some anonymous votes on Nav to make him look better.
I tend to believe Jackie's claim with Christian and im317 backing it up, so I'm guessing her train could have been an attempt to save Nofo on D1. Problem is the votes after Nofo's are more or less people I do not suspect, other than the anonymous one.
|
This was my initial thought too, but I think it could have just as easily been a ploy to make Nav look WORSE to goad us into lynching him this round so I'm not keen on actively pursuing it at the moment. I think the Perry lead is the most concrete thing we have atm.

I'm also a little surprised that Christian and I weren't targeted by the mafia last night just given the pretty universal support for our clearance. We both were very much suspicious of Nav from the get go so there may have been a fear that going for one of us would paint Nav in a bad light if we believe those mystery votes were placed on him to try to make him seem townier. idk fam it's a lot to consider!!

Yeah that's been a thing this entire game I guess. I'm trying to just view this as objectively as possible, from my point of view if I were scum I would want to take out someone who people viewed as likely town because that frees up more options for a diverging lynch in case one of them gets targeted against. I'm just trying to come up with plausible alternatives as to why they wouldn't go that route and hopefully by figuring out the MOTIVATION we can figure out the CULPRITZ

just so its clear, the people who think that the ??? votes were used to "make Nav look good" instead of potentially saving Nofo on D1. that's what we're going with right? |
naw we're discussing the possibility. i believe that it was intentionally used on you to either make yourself look better or worse but i haven't quite decided which one i believe is the truth yet.

well regardless of how or why it happened...they WERE used when they had absolutely no impact on the end result. that part isn't up for debate. but BECAUSE they were used with no impact, we have to assume there was some ulterior motive behind them being used, no?

There was clearly enough of a gap that it should have been obvious you wouldn't have enough votes to go even with mystery vote shenanigans so I think we can cross that option off.
As for making you look bad for today, I already brought that up. That is one of our theories. If you support this potential theory there should be no reason for you to be so defensive of the town exploring other theories to explain that voting mess. Only accepting evidence as legit when it makes you look good isn't the best look after all!!

so its ok for you and others to theorize about that and shade me as much as u want
but its defensive when i theorize why its stupid for it to be a calculated effort from my alleged scum team
its not like u have focused on anyone other than me for 3 days straight or anything |
I really feel like you're more in agreement with me than you realize. I already said today that I'm not as sold on pursuing a Nav lynch given everything that happened, but of course you're going to be a topic of discussion given yesterday's vote, and all I'm trying to do is offer my perspective given the reads I've had thus far and the potential motivations.
What we KNOW is there were three mystery votes on a lynch that wasn't close enough to warrant trying to flip the script. What we're trying to figure out is WHY, and you can get defensive but given that you are the person directly involved in these votes, I don't think it's unfair at all to consider different possibilities as to how and why that situation came to be.
