I really don't like what the big wigs have done to the industry, turning it into a moneygrab. Obviously it always was one, but never before have I seen the industry become so... soulless, I guess. I don't know.
I haven't bought a new game in a long time either, mostly because I'm poor but partly because I just don't want to anymore. For the last few years there's been maybe 2-3 games per year that got me interested. Before I would rent them, but the last place I could do that in my town shut down a few months ago, so I'm at a bit of a loss...

I'm getting so sick of all the shovelware and the rampant rise of the FPS. Creative games have always been more enjoyable for me. |
Also, this. I actually like FPS games, which is why it's depressing to see that it's fueling the industry so much. If people will buy it no matter what, the developers will feel less of a need to innovate. Just depressing all around, really. |
