Figured I’d just make a thread for this.

So I’m cruising through Super Mario 64 first. Gonna go in order.

Tick Tock Clock World was a major bitch. Currently only short of like 11 stars total though. Gonna start Rainbow Ride later today

Yeah man. I only played occasional levels as a kid and I definitely wasn’t going for “completionist” like I do nowadays for certain games. Mal the game definitely gets harder for certain stars later on.

100 coins in certain levels in particular is a major bitch. Especially on Clock world.

Also any of the wing cap levels

I just beat Super Mario 64..... 100%.... all 120 stars!!! Woooo!!!!

On to Sunshine!!!!

Did you 100% SM64??? You gotta go for the completionist with me!!!

I’m only one level into Sunshine and it’s way harder than I remember. The controls for shooting the water gun seem inverted to me or something. A little clunky.

Also the blue coins are hidden insanely well. I’m hunting for them all and had to google where the ones were that I couldn’t find..... and they were incredibly hidden. Definitely more detail since SM64

Super Mario Sunshine is so fucking hard (and frustrating at times!)

Even Bianco Hills (level 1) levels are hard lol.

Petey Piranha in the town especially. Getting the red coins. And then some of the blue coins, getting them is so challenging. And I want to complete the game at 100% so I’m going for ALL OF IT.

The blooper squid red coin level in ep2 will make you hate life.

I think I'm officially at about 60 shines.

I had to use a manual to look up a bunch of blue coins. Some are legit impossible to find on your own, can't believe they hid them so well.

Wow this game is VERY VERY different than the others. I didn’t expect this at all. Itssssss fun but idk. Some of it is dizzying. Really cool levels and soundtrack though. The controls are a little wonky since it was meant for Wii
