RE: Overwatch Mafia clean sweep

Were there even investigative roles in the Overwatch set-up?

ya I remember there being plenty. People could do light attacks or do investigative shit iirc

there were some, but i don't think it was enough to call plenty. also

im 99.99% sure that character has no effect on alignment. otherwise why would character claiming not be against the rules like it is in most games where character claims can have a major effect on alignment.

also Badger v Lamps is at least hopefully going to give us something interesting to work off of later in the game.

I'm still waiting for some actual thoughts from im317.

about what? the DB lynch that was only because DB is a jerk? a reaction to the people who died night 1? oh wait nobody died night 1. so yeah we have had a whopping 1 player flip, so much to give thoughts on. i suppose i should go back and make a list of who has claimed they were attacked, give me 30 minutes as i have some rice to eat first.

so 5 people defiantly claimed they were attacked and 2 people joke claimed they were attacked. also 1 person admitted to having attacked someone.

i don't see the harm in sharing this as scum can find it as easily as i did, but i will wait to see what other people think before i share specifics.

Something else to consider.

The rules say that if someone doesn't use their Final Smash and is attacked, then the attacker will steal the smash. So I feel like this makes it a lot more likely that the person with the final smash could get attacked with the hopes that the attacker steals it as well.

This means that whoever has a final smash is probably very likely to use it the night they have it. Wouldn't this be an added incentive for Helios to have been attacked last night he Mafia trying to steal his smash?

I think it's the opposite. Because the ball is stolen if you don't use it and are hit the people going for it probably want to use it right away. I think if you use and are hit you use it first so mafia wouldn't want to focus on. Those people because it's already too late.

Maybe if an inactive person had the smash ball or didn't actively ask for it they might be more willing to attack but there is no way someone asking for it will sit on it.

Right, but my main point is why wouldn't Mafia attack the person in hopes of somehow stealing it? It makes them stronger as a unit if they successfully steal.

Basically I just don't want to assume Helios is cleared and am thinking out loud.

as long as we are talking about stealing, the rules say that if you have an unused item when you get KOed the person who kills you gets that item.

I am fine with sharing what's already given. If that's what J$ meant than he didn't deserve the slack. But in the future I think we should be cautious what information we give the scum.

I thought I made it abundantly clear that's what I meant.

ok then here is who has said they were attacked.

2. Angi
5. Achoda
23. Christian
14. Aries
35. Vlady - claimed attacked small night 1

also Rose and Curtis said they were attached but seemed to be joking.

317 - important question.

How was your rice?

good, also very easy to make. stick bag of rice in bowl or water, microwave for 3 minutes, flip bag over and microwave for 2 minutes.

##Unsmash: Zersch

I don't like that Nick and TIB haven't been around to address the items they received last night. Someone asked Herm who he attacked with the beam sword? Did he answer? Would it be smart for him to do so?

I'm going to put this out there because I think it's a bit weird that scum wouldn't try to take advantage of stealing the final smash. Helios said he hadn't been attacked to his knowledge. It would make sense for a Townie not to risk attacking the guy majority gave the power to. But bad guys would have an opportunity to steal the item if Helios had opted not to use it. But since he's not aware of being attacked, could Helios be one of the bad guys?

I asked him who he attacked, since he said he used it (I think). It may not be the best idea to say who he attacked, though. I would like for him to address why he wanted the sword though (same as with the rest that went after it).

i think it might be helpful for him to confirm if he attacked someone who has claimed that they were attacked. not who he attacked maybe, but if the person has claimed being attacked.

one major difference between this and Overwatch mafia is there is no incentive to use hurtful night actions here. in Overwatch you got Ult points just from using abilities, which i suspect lead to a lot of the town on town violence that happened. i would hope that in this game people don't just go around hurting people for no good reason just because they can.

I want to lynch primate or get an item to kill Farlig. Which item would possibly let me do that?

Pokeball is almost always something that hurts other player(s)

##unclaim
##lynch Primate

i don't see any reason for Ahoda to lie about attacking Primate and we should learn something from his lynch.
