Giving it a 3 largely due to the time regret component of it. I tried to go into it, knowing it was over 3 hours, with an open mind. But I couldn't help but think "Oh I would've cut that/That scene was too long" throughout the whole movie.
Something I love about FE Watches is that I force myself to watch movies I otherwise wouldn't. This just was not the movie for me. I finished it! But just not for me.
I think it had potential. Maybe some things were lost in translation. But I just cannot relate to this movie at all. Everything was super serious, no comedic relief, and the conversations were drawn out.
Hands down the favorite character was the town drunk. I thought it might be the sister, especially when she popped off on the wife. But when the siblings were talking, it was just the longest bitchfest for no reason.
Liked the scene where the drunk threw the money in the fire. I'm sure there was significance with the young wife lady being all emotionally attached to the money (by crying) even though she willingly gave it away.
I think there just wasn't anything special about any of the characters. Like the people in the movie were very regular. The culture was cool. Thought it was interesting to see the rich guy with his westernized laptop despite being in a place where people have to walk all day for a conversation with him. But yeah I wish the storyline was more focused and precise.
