Grandson and Grandpa were sat taking a break. This book was heavy stuff.
"Grandpa I don't like this story. The bad guys keep winning and getting away with it. I'd have preferred a kissing book to this!"
Grandpa nodded in agreement.
"Yeah, I know what you mean son. It's a pretty miserable story isn't it? But look," he said, flicking the pages. "There's not much left to go. "Why, this might be the last chapter! Let's see if there's a final twist to come."
Grandpa was about to continue reading when the bedroom door crashed open...

A hooded figure walked in, sword at the ready.
"Who are you?! What the hell are you doing here?" Grandpa yelled.
"I believe it is called breaking the fourth wall," the masked figure replied coolly. Then he pulled out a sword and stabbed Grandson in the chest. Grandson screamed.
"Grandpa I hate this story, make it stop, make it stop!"
"Oh my god!" Grandpa cried in horror.
The attacker withdrew his sword and cleaned off the blood, turned around and left the room. Grandpa wept.

Grandson was dead.

TOWN Character: The Grandson Role: Mayor Player: Penner "I'm telling you, you're messing up the story. Now, get it right!" You are a child and at times can be very stubborn and impatient. To be honest, you can be somewhat of a brat! To this end, you may decide you don't like how the story is going and may wish to change it. Once during the game, during a day phase, you may choose to cancel a lynch. This will result in the person with the highest votes being immune. Votes will be reset and the voting will continue on until the end of the day. This action must be performed with at least 60 minutes left in the day. Win condition: You win when there are no remaining threats to town.

"This book..." Grandpa said, sobbing. "This book is cursed! But maybe...maybe if I continue reading I can bring him back somehow."
He turned the pages and started to read, tears staining the pages.

The next morning, the sun rose on a new day in Florin...

Curtis has been lynched!

Flavor up later.

Everyone was shocked that the sweet child, Penner, had died.

"Why is this still going?" asked Ahoda.

"Because of me", answered Brian. "Someone tried to kill me but they haven't succeeded... yet. We're going to have a little wine tasting to resolve this."

Meanwhile...

Curtis and Ahoda faced each other.

"It's you or me, pal." Curtis said to Ahoda. "This game isn't big enough for both of us."

Everyone nodded in agreement. Half took Curtis's side, half took Ahoda's.

And they waited...

"When one of us decides to drink that wine, it's over for you." Curtis told Ahoda.

"I'll just kill myself then... after they drink." promised Ahoda.

They stood eyeing each other for hours...

Someone checked their watch, yawning. "Is it time, yet?"

Curtis answered them, "Once tchill is here, we'll-"

But he was silenced by a knife through his back. Turning around he saw tchill, grinning.

Curtis smiled back. Then dropped dead.

MAFIA Character: Assistant Brute Role: Vote Thief Player: Curt You were hired by the Prince and assigned to the Brute Squad in order to empty the Thieves Forest. You continue to work with the Prince and will help carry out the mafia's plans... and you have some thieving of your own to do. Twice per game you may steal a vote from someone and cast it anonymously. You must choose whose vote you are stealing at night and your target will be informed they have lost their vote at the start of the next day phase. During that day phase, PM one of us to let us know how you are casting the stolen vote. Win condition: You win when only mafia remains or the same is a foregone conclusion.

Brian watched as Curtis was killed. Well, that was done. Now he turned his attention to someone else...


In between the two was a small table with two glasses and a bottle of wine. He poured wine into each glass. Then he took the glasses, turned his back, and poured the vial of Iocane Powder into one of them. Turning back to his opponent, he placed the two glasses back on the table.

"Choose!" He demanded.

"Joke's on you." his opponent shot back. "I have a tolerance to Iocane Powder."

The witty repartee flew back and forth between the two for what seemed like hours.

Finally, Brian's opponent made his choice.

"I choose.... This one." He picked up the glass and drank. It went down smoothly. He set the glass back down and smiled at Brian.

"Looks like you have been outsmarted. I feel fantastic!"

Brian nodded, solemnly... and drank his wine, also.

Then, suddenly, one of them froze, eyes growing wide. And fell face first on the table.... dead.
