My daughter is way better about giving me ideas than my son. I usually give him money if he doesn't tell me but then I buy him a few things like socks, a shirt or something, that I can wrap.

I made an Amazon wish list this year because I always have trouble coming up with stuff, though. Most of it is just crap I don't need like miscellaneous red serving dishes etc. I do really want capuccino cups/saucers because I might buy a capuccino machine after drinking it every day on my trip. They're just so cute and I love drinking out of a cup/saucer.

This thread is ulterior motive free, shadow! But everyone doing secret santa should list off at like 5 things they like or want. Immediately. Just for the fun of it of course! :)

When I played secret santa at the young age of childrenhood
We were allowed to secretly get help from a friend of a friend for suggestions
But kc's tyranny might linger?

if you don't know how will someone else who doesn't really know the person know?
just go with your gut look at their movies they've watched or games they've played or things they vote for over other things.

I'd obviously ask someone who knows them
But ok ok

I wouldn't see a problem with it if the person you are asking wasn't participating.

I don't see why it matters even if they are. Is knowing 2 people who aren't your secret Santa a big deal? (I'm legitimately asking)

I've been really into cooking lately, so a cookbook is always a good choice.

I tend to be a sucker when it comes to those books you can keep out on your end table about a specific topic like hockey, beer, WWII (random topics I'm interested in basically).

Huge into hockey and the New York Rangers. Watch a ton of TV.

I do a lot of shopping on Amazon and at Target so a gift card wouldn't go unappreciated.

I probably don't want capuccino cups (that was kinda dumb since I'm probably never getting a capuccino machine) but I do need an external battery charger for my iphone. There's a range of different priced ones so that might not be a bad idea. Other than that, I like red, I like small cute dishes that you put little things in...like earrings, change, etc. But I have a lot of those. I like pretty candles/holders. (red, yellow/gold, ivory) Wine accessories are always good, like aerator, cordless opener (mine broke from overuse) stoppers, etc.

The biggest thing on my wish list right now is one of the old school Survivor season DVDs.

If you get the CBS app you can watch old survivor seasons. I haven't done it, but heard about it. Not that you'd want to watch on your phone but maybe you can watch on your computer, idk.

Vague ideas: Horror movies and all things 2sppoky. Seinfeld. Science fiction, fantasy, mystery, thrillers - Sci-fi fantasy rape cop whodunnit horror dramedy is my ideal genre. Mythology. Things that can be collected or displayed.

Specific ideas: Funko pop (Macho Man, horror movie icons other than Leatherface), comics (The Superior Foes of Spider-Man Vol. 1 or Gotham City Sirens Book One), fantasy book (World of Ice and Fire, 'The Heroes' or 'Half a King' by Joe Abercrombie), assault rifles and black tar heroin.

sci-fi fantasy rape cop... interesting Zersch
