But why would he make such an obvious mistake by clearly defending his buddy? I'm not saying that's reason to dismiss it but it doesn't really make sense. |
Still catching up on the thread, and I'll comment more when I do, but this is the smartest thing I've read so far.

Alright, I just read through this and I think Paul is going after me pretty hard for something which doesn't seem to be a major thing imo. It really did make sense for people not to lynch me as an inactive and I would probably look at the ones who were initially doing so, knowing I was probably not going to be an inactive or quiet player in the game. As for Rob, I agree he was probably just trying to sound like a helpful townie when he did it. Wiffom maybe but in this case it makes the most sense. Plus, how is this "conclusive evidence?"
What boy were you searching for, Paul? I would like you to claim since you say it wouldn't hurt to do so.
Also, do we know Samm is a PGO or vigilante but not his alignment?

I agree with Paul regarding JJ, I was publicly speaking against her last round also. I found her behavior to be curious.
Also despite rob 'clearing' matt, I don't trust him at all. His first day actions made him (followed by JJ) my most suspicious player. He started off with the silly band wagon, followed by being very defensive and then he just randomly bandwagon the vernon lynch at the end; my problem with this was everyone was like "yah it's vernon, he is worst town blah blah' but matt stated many times this was his first mafia game with us and was confused and hence he shouldn't have these pre-conceived notions on vernon and hence his vernon vote was a 'jumping on bandwagon' moment in the trust sense. DO NOT TRUST AT ALL!
how plausible is it to think rob may have been playing the distancing game with his scum buddies on the public front?
Am happy to lynch either JJ or Matt. |
Tell me what about my behavior was curious? Being at work until a couple hours prior to the deadline?

I already stated it wasn't conclusive evidence. I was posting that on my phone and about a few minutes after I admitted it was a bad choice of phrase. I just said it was the most we had to go off.
And searching? Not sure what you mean by that.
And no, there's no indication of Samm's alignment. It could flip either way, I just think a town aligned PGO would be more common for balance reasons. |
Well,I missed that, sorry. Probably skimming posts since there were several pages and your posts seem to be the most long-winded. :p
As for searching...maybe the story didn't mean anything but it said you were asking a fat person if they'd seen a boy. That's what I was referring to.

I already posted in day 1, I was quoting with you. Like I said that day I didn't like your vote and felt in wasn't in your best interest to vote vernon when there was another player with more votes and you were desperate to survive. Who could have guessed that ridiculous train that occurred in the last hour tho that got vernon out of the way. The way that entire train got momentum at the end was very fishy to me.
Quite happy to lyncg either you or matt, as you both appear the most scummy to me. |
Ah okay, thanks for reminding me. I am definitely glad I voted the way I did.

Well, first of all I am a she.
I do think it is likely Mal could've been converted upon his revival. It seems likely although I will admit I am not very familiar with games on this forum and all the role possibilities. The "evidence" against me is very weak and circumstantial.
Rob said this before any votes were on me:
"I'm torn between lynching an inactive (especially when we've got so many, which could result in a mafia cakewalk) and lynching someone like Matt, Curtis, or Greenday. All three have exhibited somewhat scummy traits today." (Day 1, page 7)
And these were the four listed as inactives at the time:
8. Soccer
14. Patrick
16. JJ
17. Jen
I had no votes at that time so why is his statement pointing to me? Paulus was the first to lynch me and it was after Rob's statement. After that, a bunch of people jumped on that train. I would look at how that train built up rather than a statement by Rob which wasn't even specifically talking about me.
Then Rob said he was suspicious of the train on me:
"I'm more than a little suspicious of this JJ train. Seems to me we have a few good lynch candidates and it could be put to better use."
I would be, too, so it seems like a perfectly innocuous townie comment and that's probably what he was going for. It would make him look good if my lynch went through, which looked like it was going to at the time. I'm sure there was at least 1 or 2 mafia on that train but why would Rob jump on it after what he said before I got any votes?

haha, I am not sure what Jeff's logic was there.
If JJ flips scum I'm for sure looking at Paul. He'd only know JJ was scum if HE WAS SCUM TOO.
Yep that's the way it's done guys.
Master detective. |
How does this even make sense? I feel it is likely Mal has been revived as scum and I don't know if Paulus would be pushing for me as hard as he is if he's scum. It's possible, I guess, but not an obvious tactic as scum. I do think he's reasoning if faulty and his major point is not very convincing but I find Mal's logic and his willingness to jump on my bandwagon sketchy.

No. A no lynch is never a good idea. Even though I have the most votes, it's not good for the town because then you don't find out any information at all. I'm not in any way saying I'm the best lynch (please do not lynch me lol), but a no lynch is only good for scum.
DD, I appreciate you saying you do not think I'm scum. Who do you think may be?

I agree with you that Paulus should share more information. I don't think he makes a good point, though, lol.
