I think shortening the later rounds is more important than lessening the number of songs tbh. Like Lamps said we p much know all the songs well by now so could probably have these later rounds take 24-48 hours tops

tbf rap is one of my favorite genres, but it's like junk food for me in that I mostly do listen to 'crap rap' for the beatz

I always saw this tourney as distinct from Ahoda's thing tbh, which is more geared towards discovering new shit. As long as no one's nominating like...Bohemian Rhapsody...I feel like anything's game with the theme-less rounds. I've kinda tried to do a mix of both relatively known and obscure for the most part

tbh I wouldn't mind doing themes more regularly and having the "random" episodes be the change of pace

think keeping it anon is good though

I would also be open to theme ideas, as people weren't exactly fond of my choices last time.

my local radio station does stuff like "Songs that have to do with size" which will prompt people to nominate stuff with Big/Small/etc in the name

random stuff like that could be good in that it still allows any genre while also making it easier to narrow in on certain songs

I don't necessarily dislike the genre idea either, like I don't know (or care much about) Blues so I mostly ignored that half, but the EDM half I really really enjoyed. By far the most songs I've added from any of these "episodes" has been from that
