I like how they didn't even have Keanu cut his hair. That's just how he shows up to every movie set now | |

it's not imo

it was competently made and I never HATED it, but it just didn't feel like it had a reason for existing. And they even winked at this with all the meta stuff in the beginning ("Warner Bros is gonna make the sequels with or without us") but...just winking at it doesn't excuse not actually having a good story to tell. The fact that it felt like half the movie was just rehashing scenes from the original (whether literally replaying them or through loose reenacting) was a p bad sign
A shame since I felt like they could've done some genuinely interesting things with the whole meta-commentary aspect, but it was more just a cutesy little thing they decided to include to reintroduce us to Neo 2.0 |

1 >>>>>>>>>> 4 >> 2 >> 3
the ideas are always more interesting to me then the action so I liked 4 a bit better than the other sequels despite the action being kinda bad. Not that the ideas were all that deep but at least it was more decipherable/less convoluted. And 1 is obviously still the only one that's handled both aspects well
