Hey I started watching through this, I like it so far
S1 was good, especially the last few eps. Got crazy once they started going after the Bolivians
NoHo's the best | |

watched the first ep of S2 and it already feels...a bit different? I feel like Barry as a character is slowly starting to become a typical Hader character but I guess that can be explained with his personality opening up through the acting class. idk, I liked the more dialed back/reserved Barry of S1 better than this more GOOFY version but it's only been one ep

done
GUD SHOE. The finale was p nuts, not sure where they go with Barry's character from here
I kinda hated Hader's episode with the ninja daughter at first but...it kept growing on me and became possibly my fav by the end
The girl that plays Sally is great, how have I never seen her in anything before

liked 3x02 a lot more than the premiere. Poor Sally :( That phonecall scene was pretty rough
I really need to watch a recap or something tho, I remember most of the characters but probably only like 30% of the plot at this point

...idk this season kinda just came and went for me. There wasn't a whole lot I was super invested in or made a lasting MARK. It was all well done / enjoyable enough but yeah
Then again I quickly forgot a lot of details about the first couple seasons despite liking them so maybe that's just this show for me. I do feel like the portion set in the acting class has been the strongest tho and that the show lost a lil something when it moved on from that

the D&B scene was funny, with Hank running around the table
apparently that bit wasn't scripted and they came up with it on the day

one of the better eps in a while. Especially liked the Cousineau break-in scene (fun use of surround sound) and the ending
|
I thought Bunny just straight up killed that journalist for a sec. What did he do to that man! |

one of the better eps of the series and it barely featured Barry. His one line (in present day) was perfect though
|
tbh I liked them getting back to the roots and reminding us that yeah, NoHo Hank is not a good guy at the end of the day. Kinda like they did with Barry further back after we started to sympathize with him
idk if I just started noticing or if it's always been the case, but damn the sound design in this show is really good. Especially for the kind of show it is. That scene of the Cristobal getting buried alive was v well done / claustrophobic
I kinda assumed that scene at the end was Barry's imagination at first, but considering the untidy way it ended maybe not? That'd be quite the departure, but I'm all for it |

damn, really liking this season. Think it's been a big step up from S3
|
this timeline jump is a wild departure but I'm digging it |

not sure what to make of that last part exactly! Why would he shave Barry?
and the stuff with Sally too...I'm guessing she hallucinated and trashed the house on her own?
best part was Barry driving around town trying to find any podcast that'd help him justify murder. Good ol Bill Burr finally gave him what he needed. "Bingo!" |

another good one. Can't believe there's only one ep left, so much to wrap up
NoHo stole this ep
|
he's def sending Barry to Fuchs' house |

lol

not the strongest finale (contrasting it with Succession's doesn't help either) but this season as a whole was so solid it's fine
Did love the Jim Cummings cameo
also some nice dark comedy with Barry walking through the toy aisle with the assault rifles on his back, great shot |
