I was expecting AT LEAST one of either Cleganebowl or Jaime killing Cersei this episode. They teased at both so I think they'll both happen next season but still, disappointing

Really glad Euron fleeing/Cersei trucing were both lies, cuz that would've been the most embarrassing writing the show's ever had otherwise

Dragon killing the Wall was p obviously gonna be the conclusion this season after last episode but still p cool I guess

There's no way they're wrapping this all up satisfactorily in 6 episodes. Unless they're like 2 hours each

Theon's storyline next season is the most interesting to me tbh. I'm really not all that interested in the Great War stuff. Theon's scene at the beach was the highlight of the episode for me until that "OH SHIT HE HAS NO BALLS UH OHHH" moment

eh I don't think she really froze with Tyrion, she definitely wants him dead. It was just the strategic move so that Dany/Jon would still pack up and head north under the guise of a truce

It wasn't bad as a show. I was entertained throughout. But after the first 4 seasons its just lame. The good guys always win and the bad guys lose. Part of me wished that Theon would have died at the scene with the sand.

I am also worried this will take part in the books and instead of the great scenes like the red wedding and Oberyn vs. the mountain we'll be stuck with Littlefinger's silly downfall.

Besides that though I really enjoyed the episode. Its just been held to such a high standard which makes it kind of lame. I was rooting for Jaime to die just for the shock value and Cersei just completely going me, myself and I... and I love Jaime.

Kind of Book Spoilers+

I'd be shocked if Littlefinger's death in the books is anything like this, assuming he dies at all. Even if it is, I'm sure it'll be much more fleshed out and play out more organically

Really the only 'satisfying' death in the books so far unless I'm forgetting someone is Joffrey's, which mostly just leads to Cersei becoming more insane. I'm sure the books are headed towards a bittersweet ending rather than complete nihilism, so the Ramsays/Walders of the world probably will start to fall, but again it'll probably make a lot more sense when it happens

god I really wanna read TWOW now :(

We don't really think Tormund and Beric are dead do we? People are just assuming they died. Surely they wouldn't save Tormund from a brutal death last week just to kill him off screen here

naw there's no way they'd just kill them offscreen like that. I think the only ones they have are Syrio/Stannis/Blackfish but all of those were heavily implied

I'm pretty positive they're just gonna show them down in Winterfell next season with no explanation how they got down that fast

I did like Jamie telling Cersei to go fuck herself and calling out her bluff but it's a big contrast to his "fuck everyone who isn't us" not long ago. His character is so inconsistent

This is what I was so frustrated about the past...3ish seasons. Jaime's character is the single worst botch job I think they've done tbh

In the books he turns his back against Cersei right after she gets captured by the High Sparrow. She sends a letter asking him to represent her in Trial by Combat and he tosses it in a fire, it's one of the most satisfying moments of the series. And it happens at the perfect time in his arc cuz it's not long after he gets back from his captivity/meeting Brienne/Tyrion revealing that Cersei slept with Lancel, and through all of that he starts to become jaded towards her

On the show he's gone on a suicide mission to Dorne for her, fought a war for her, and has been back to hooking up with her again for several seasons now. I knew they'd have to hit this plot point eventually but it couldn't have been a less smooth transition. I wouldn't have even minded them having him regress for a season and then breakaway by the end, but having him regress for three seasons points more to them having no idea what to do with him and treading water

That sounds great @ throwing the letter in the fire

I kinda wanna read the books but I don't wanna bother starting if he never finishes them. I'd be so mad if the tv show ending was the only ending I had

It'd still be worth it, and he's only 68, he's going to finish the books before he croaks.

And if he doesn't finish the last book, a lot of it is probably already written, definitely the ending

He may be 68 but it's taken him 7+ years to write TWOW, and there's not much reason to believe ADOS will come out any quicker. In which case he'd be at least 75 when it comes out, and considering how fat he is there's a very decent likelihood he won't make it that far unfortunately

That said it doesn't matter so much to me if he finishes them either. Obviously I'd prefer it but I wouldn't regret reading them at all if he never gets to write the ending

So is Tyrion...supposed to be in love with Dany? Was that why he was so upset about her and Jon together? Apparently some people took it as he loves her and others took it as if he plotted against her in his deal with Cersei or some shit, I don't remember getting that vibe at all

Personally I like the theory that Dany/Jon took over his room so he was forced to awkwardly wait it out

Yeah but you have to take into account that he's probably already written most of ADOS at least in his head while writing all the books and especially now with TWOW since it's both all connected and some chapters he writes for TWOW he'll move to ADOS like in the last two books.

I doubt the wait will be this long for ADOS.

I mean, that's what people were saying when he finished ADWD wasn't it? (: Since he solved the problems with the Meereen plot that stalled him for so long, people were thinking TWOW would be out by 2014 iirc. idk I hope you're right but I'll believe it when I see it
