Yeah not too surprised, first game with the new engine and all. I don't really get how this shit doesn't get caught in QA tho

However to be completely honest I am not sure how much the choices you make affect the story which is kind of disappointing because that is the staple of telltale games |
lol one of the main criticisms of Telltale games is how relatively little your choices affect the story tho. So I guess this one's even less?

I'm three episodes in and it's a lot of fun but definitely not my favorite TT. Idk if it's just my computer but the graphics have been a bit choppy. |
Batman is the first TT game on their new engine so that could be why

3+ years later...it is DONE! Told you I'd follow through Dyl (:
like I said in the backlog thread, this was lower tier Telltale but it was still p good, I enjoyed it enough that I'll probably buy/play S2 relatively soon. There was a lot of cheesiness (tbf it clearly tried to be more comic-y and I'm just used to the Nolan rendition) and the plot was p muddled, but there were enough solid moments in-between to make it worth. Hard to go wrong with Troy Baker/Laura Bailey, their scenes together were definitely the strong point. Wish that relationship was bit more of the focal point but o well. Maybe in S2!
|
|
I didn't replay ep 1 so I have little memory of any of this, so not much commentary to add here (:
- Shut Harvey out of the private meeting with Falcone
- Gave Vicki a quote
- Brutally broke the docks shooter's arm
- Gave the Falcone data to Vicki Vale instead of GCPD (oops!)
- Handed Falcone over to GCPD |
|
- Made Falcone suffer. How was this the minority decision??
- Tried to kiss Selina but got friendzoned :/
- Chose to visit Mayor Hill as Bruce Wayne
- Continued to fund Harvey's campaign
- Saved Selina over Harvey. I went with my heart!! Honestly though, I'm curious what the scene would be like if I chose Harvey? Like he HAD to become Two-Face either way, so would I have just failed to save him if I tried? That'd be kinda weird. Speaking of which, boi o boi was that a scorching hot lightbulb they shattered on his face! OUCH! |
|
- Chose to back up Harvey instead of Montoya. Didn't care about Montoya at all
- Kept your composure when provoked by Oswald
- Asked Lucius to remain at Wayne Enterprises as my inside man
- Spent the night with Selina. lol 90%. That was...a surprisingly steamy scene. ME-OW! I kept expecting there to be some interruption but nope. Think that's the only Telltale sex scene I can think of?
- Refused to physically attack Harvey. tbh I kinda forgot about the Harvey/Selina connection, must've been more of an ep 1 storyline |
|
- Agreed to owe Joker a favor after leaving Arkham
- Chose to follow Joker's advice and make a phone call to get out of Arkham
- Paid off enforcer at Harvey's security checkpoint
- Chose to intimidate Harvey as Batman
- Chose to stop Oswald from destroying tech and risked Harvey destroying home
I gotta say, I thought the Joker was pretty awful here. And I know that S2 is primarily focused on him and is supposed to be good so either they really revamp that character or I'm gonna have a VERY different opinion on it than most. We'll see! But this iteration just seemed like someone doing a really, really bad Ledger impression |
|
- Pocketed Harvey's coin. lol wtf was the significance of that supposed to be, rather than tossing it away?? That whole scene was p silly tbh
- Blamed Alfred for not doing enough to stop Thomas Wayne. 2.3%! I found Alfred incredibly annoying throughout most of the series so I honestly reveled in the opportunity to tell him off. That's for keeping secrets from me, you wanker!
- Regarded Selina as more than a thief. That breakup scene was BRUTAL! I gave one last ditch "I love you" to her as she was leaving and she hit me back with a "If you think that was love, then I feel sorry for you". GODDAMN!
- Kept the cowl on to protect my identity. Mostly another spite move against Alfred tbh
- Showed up to Gordon's address as Bruce |
Season Overview:
Cunning (82%) vs Honest (18%)
Merciful (51%) vs Brutal (49%)
Self-reliant (50%) vs Collaborative (50%)
Compassionate (72%) vs Pragmatic (18%) |

Enemy Within DONE. Wowee! What a fun season. Def a step up over the first one. Like I said I was very iffy on Joker after S1 but he steals the show, such a fun take on the character
|
- Confessed to Gordon that Lucius was an ally
- Chose to visit Mori for info on Riddler
- Took the drive from Mori by force
- Let the agents die by not answering Riddler's questions. I'm not playing your game BRUH! Plus iirc that was the only way to save Avesta I think? Who was the only one I had a somewhat personal connection with at that point |
|
- Didn't convince Tiffany that handing the Phalanx Key over to John was a good idea
- Called Waller and her Agency in their time of need. I was def trying to curry favor with her much more than Gordon, at least early on. Power is power!
- Tried to calm down Willy with a drink
- Followed Bane to undermine his rampage
- Accepted John's pinky swear, becoming friends for life |
|
- Did not warn Catwoman about the GCPD. I immediately regretted it but I was feeling SPURNED!! And it's not like I tipped them off or anything, I just neglected to help her
- Told John to manipulate Harley, and he gave you an inkblot test
- Didn't tell Tiffany about my secret
- Took the fall and was left in one of Mr. Freeze's cryochambers to die |
|
- Showed Mr. Freeze compassion by lowering the temperature in the airlock
- Told John you trusted him to find Harley by himself
only two big choices I guess?? Both pretty lopsided too |
|
- Hesitated during Bane's attack. I was fine letting Joker's goon deal with the agent tbh!
- Agreed to hand over Joker to Waller. Fuuuck this one was hard. It really came to Catwoman being in the collar tho. Pretty much any other scenario and I would've stuck up for him
- Chose never to give up being Batman. Smell ya later Alfred! Easy choice
- Defeated Vigilante Joker |
|
Harley Quinn
You and 0% (???) of players told her you would bring her to justice. Uhhh...ok??
Amanda Waller
You and 40.2% of players remain in a stalemate with her. I'll take it! I really tried to stay in her good graces but when she started messing with John and Catwoman I just couldn't stand by. She really did John dirty on that bridge. He was doing his best!
Jim Gordon
You and 1.9% of players left him feeling disillusioned. I was almost as over him as I was Alfred by the end tbh, I was super cold to him. But in this case it was less about him being annoying and more about him being unreliable. How DARE he try to arrest Bruce Wayne!
Catwoman
You and 23.5% of players said you loved her, but didn't gain her release. How??? Not sure what I did wrong here, literally my deal I made with Waller on the roof was for her to leave the city AND release Catwoman, and I'd hand over Joker. Not sure if I was supposed to reup on that deal or what, but not sure when that option was. I will say as good as this season was, she was maybe my biggest disappointment with it, I think she was the one aspect of S1 that was better. She was still great here (especially in her first ep back) but there just wasn't ENOUGH! And certainly not enough closure, obviously they really seemed to be banking on getting an S3 here
Tiffany Fox
You and 0.3% of players refused to say goodbye to Tiffany. AHHH! I regret not picking the "don't forget who you are" option. This is another character I acted fairly cold towards, but with her it was almost entirely about protecting her from the same fate as her father, I did like her. They sure give you plenty of options to confess your secret to her and ask her to work for Batman but I stood firm the whole time. Ofc she ends up joining the Agency which is arguably even worse. Can't say I didn't try tho!
Iman Avesta
You and 6.2% of players watched Avesta give up her badge. One of the few fates that was actually satisfying (: Blew the whistle on Waller, exited the Agency, and is still safe and sound
Alfred Pennyworth
You and 58% of players let Alfred go rather than give up Batman's crusade. Like I said, ezzzz choice. That man drove me batty!
Joker
You and 54% of players told Joker you were still friends. Awww! Also like I said, I really liked what they did with that character. Making him start as a pathetic loser with some unhinged tendencies peeking through and seeing him get molded into a villain before your eyes was a really interesting direction. Also liked the Harley/John relationship here which was almost a reversal of their usual story of Joker being the one that corrupts Harley |
sad it's over. Hope to see an S3 from the resurrected Telltale at some point since I think this is one of the IPs they still retained? Not sure

Hello Dyl I understand you've finished another episode. What are your thoughts.
|
Idk why but I like Catwomen this season. She was a lot more likable this episode than at all this season. I still think its kind of dumb that she still likes me despite all the crap I've pulled on her.
Harley wasn't gone that long. I was kind of surprised she still trusted me after things went south on literally the first mission I was apart of. Went back to Riddler's hideout. I punched out the cop because I was worried that John was going to kill him. I guess the walking around was cool. I found the shoes pretty quickly which made it easy. Though I put the shoes in between the coils at first which killed me. Oops.
Catwomen turned on me and I beat her up instead of kissing her. John wasn't happy about me telling her about the laptop. We had coffee and I told him to be himself. Again I am trying to make him good but I know it is ultimately going to fail.
I didn't tip Catwomen off to Gordon's ambush. I was more worried about patching things up with Gordon then Catwomen and she had just beat me up so I didn't feel that bad. John's love of Batman is kind of funny. I let him keep the picture so he can complete the wall in his hideout.
Catwomen shows up injured and I feel kind of bad. Alfred loves her which I didn't remember that much from last season. I end up being a dick again and stealing the decrypter from her and injure her even more. Alfred makes me feel bad about it but I play it off. Got the info for the Spa and call Waller.
Tiffany. That jerk. Waller gets me out of being arrested but I still vouch for Gordon which makes him feel bad. I tell Tiff about being batman which I kind of regret. I feel like I want her to like me but I probably put her at risk. I told her I didn't want her to help me.
The spa part was kind of cool. I wonder if you could go through with finding the security panel and more people would die. Ran into Bane and Harley and John interrogated me. I took the blame. I felt bad for being a dick to Catwomen and especially since she didn't do it I would have felt bad.
One plot hole is what does John think Bruce knows about the case. Bruce knows John stole the case but not what happened with it (well he does but John doesn't know that). I am not sure what the story is behind that. Kind of a bigish plot hole. |
One day someone will appreciate this! |
I appreciated it Dyl!! | |
