I just saw they had a three episode version titled Michonne. Did anyone play bat?
I made the mistake of pre-buying the season before it started, but I've only ever played the first episode. It was pretty meh, I didn't really care about any of the characters including Michonne
I am a bit :/ they haven't said anything further on whether they're gonna make it possible to port save files somehow. I'm sure there's a ton of people who played the first two seasons on 360/PS3 that are gonna want to play on PC/PS4/XBOne for this one. Otherwise it's gonna be a TOUGH CHOICE whether to play on an outdated system in order to maintain the save
To be fair you don't play as Clem in the first one which is arguably better (:
Definitely was better. Though that had a lot more to do with having much better side characters than anything else
I'm staying away from all gameplay videos/trailers so I won't know much about Javier until I play, but just from looking at the screenshots of him I'm not that excited (: He LOOKS like a typical 'young adult punk/rebel' archetype, which would get old pretty quick. But at the same time I'm fairly confident they'll subvert expectations and make him a compelling character. I mean they could've easily made Clem the solo main character again and everyone would've been happy with it, so I'm sure they have a good reason for focusing on Javier
Choices:
- Chose to head back out on the road. This one was pretty tough since the kids wanted to stay, but the tipping point was the boy saying "C'MON YOU KNOW IT'S NOT THAT BIG OF A DEAL!" There's a fucking horde descending upon us OF COURSE it's a big deal! I sided with Kate's reasoning immediately after that
- Chose to let the driver go. Saw really no reason to shoot him beyond pettiness
- Got locked up. Must've been a VERY particular set of choices to get out of that considering only 5% got out of it
- Went with Tripp. I wanted to trust Eleanor but Clem not trusting her was a huge red flag. Wish I could've asked her WHY before I made the final decision but o well. Seemed to work out since he seems like a SWELL fellow after our mission
- Escaped with my family. Really not that hard of a decision for me and I was surprised I was in the minority (16%) here? I guess people really wanted to team up with Clem, but I'm assuming I'll still get to see her later somehow anyway. But there's no way I was gonna leave them again especially after what happened, plus I feel like once we get out of the junkyard area these guys aren't gonna hunt us down, so it wasn't worth the risk just for some empty revenge

I gotta say, I was pretty worried about this after the first couple minutes. I thought the opening with Javier's older brother beating on him for being late was...pretty weak and sloppily written. But after that, as soon as the grandpa turned into a zombie, the episode kicked into gear and was back to form. I had CHILLS throughout the opening credit sequence, I don't know how to describe it exactly but I love it when they do it in that style. Not as good as Tales from the Borderlands' credit sequences but stylistically it fit this game perfectly and was a great way to set the tone
Really glad they released a Part 2 immediately, cuz that cliffhanger would've killed me. My biggest complaint would be the length (took me an hour and a half)...I guess it was about the same length as S2's episodes but S1's took around 2-2.5 hours which was perfect. I did like that they seem to be re-integrating a little bit more exploration/side conversations, at least in the junkyard sequence, hope there's more of that to come. Still wasn't nearly as detailed or expansive as S1's side convos but I think it was a step up over S2? Been a while tho
Clementine's reintroduction was perfect. I knew it was her right away but the reveal still gave me chills. SHE DROPPED AN F-BOMB THO!! In S2 she didn't say "shit" because of what I told her in the barn as Lee in S1. Was kinda disappointed that detail didn't carry through :( But at the same time I guess you could say it's just character development, she couldn't stay an innocent kid forever
I have a feeling Eleanor is aligned with that junkyard group and that's where she would've delivered me had I went with her. If not, I'm still confident she's gonna be at least a minor villain after all that was said this episode
That ending was BRUTAL! I knew something bad was gonna happen after Tripp's comment about everything going so smoothly, but...JESUS. Mariana :( That was fucking crushing
1. Went back on the road instead of staying the night. Figured it was smarter with the horde coming
2. Let the driver live. I thought for sure he would've been revealed as the one who shot Mariana
3. Got locked up after killing the dude
4. Went with Tripp over the hot medical lady only because Clem said she trusted him more
5. Left with my family instead of staying to fight. Felt like that was way more in like with Javi's character and letting them leave without him after that reunion felt kinda silly
That was EVEN SHORTER THAN THE LAST ONE!! :( Took me just over an hour
Choices:
- Stayed out of David and Kate's argument. Felt like that'd just make things worse. Although I did keep the cloth on her hand :$
- I surrendered at the gates. Even though I didn't particularly care about the lady they were threatening, she WAS an innocent, and I felt like if we opened fire it'd end badly either way
- I took Jesus at his word. Seems like a trustworthy fella! I mean I did check him for the brand first
- Killed Conrad. I was really channeling Lee on this one (: NO1 THREATENS MY CLEM! Conrad was being completely unreasonable beyond that though, and had a gun trained on my step-son. NO DEAL SRY!
- Capitulated to Max's demands. I refused to drop Kate tho
-----------------------------------------
CURT you sorta called it with David. Doesn't look like he's actually the leader but ya. THAT should be interesting!
Oh and I'm almost 100% sure now that Eleanor is New Frontier. Way too convenient that she just 'disappeared'. I just wonder what's gonna actually come of that
I really like that they're not doing the previews this time tbh. But I don't even watch previews for TV shows either so maybe that's just me
In the flashback for this episode, I was running from some walkers and hid out with AJ in this little shelter, when someone from the New Frontier came in with me. They seemed pretty chill, and they invited me to come with them, which I accepted (I tried to stay "in-character" since Clem wouldn't know anything about New Frontier at that point). Later in the episode though, Clem's New Frontier brand is revealed which leads to Conrad wanting to trade her for Kate's life (for some reason? Even though he doesn't even know Kate??). I'm curious what happens if anyone refuses the New Frontier lady's invitation
OVERALL, pretty disappointing episode compared to the first tbh, but that's mostly due to the length. Hoping the rest are at LEAST as long as 3x01
Boc, I got the same exact flashback. No shit, I thought that person was the little black boy from the Jane ending in Season 2 until I realize it was a girl (: That would have been funny. Cool hat. But disappointingly, I refused to join the New Frontier and... ended up with a brand anyway? Huh?

lol what. So does that mean that 3x01 had the only unique flashbacks just to wrap things up, and now everything's back to the same story already? That's pretty disappointing. I'm not surprised, but everything Telltale was saying made it sound like they had a really interesting/innovative way of handling the disparate storylines this time. If that was just referring to the 3x01 flashbacks being unique then... (:
That's also pretty silly that she'd get the brand either way. Was there any indication that they kidnapped Clem/AJ after you refused?
