the sucky part for the hardcore fans who want to get it right away is that they will have to pay for the DLC or buy the game again down the road if they release the Game of the Year edition, like they did with Fallout 3 and New Vegas.
Played the beginning up through the first Power Armor fight. Definitely liking it so far. I've noticed a few minor bugs (mostly with characters abruptly changing dialogue) but nothing glaring
I must've spent like an hour just on the character creation part. I went through so many different characters before I settled on one. It's a p great tool they made this time, but tbh I'm a bit annoyed that you can't change the voice for your character. They should've just left them mute if that was gonna be the case. The pre-set voice doesn't exactly fit my character (:
My character is an aging, brutish, unlovable schlub named Gideon

I would've made his wife fat and ugly too but it was p obvious that she was gonna die. It makes his life all the more tragic
This man is about to become the most feared soul in the wasteland
I'm really not looking forward to Dogmeat's scripted death. I can smell it since he's invincible in combat.
Yeah, it's almost a guarantee. I wish the dog was like the skyrim companions. I accidentally killed Lydia in one of our first battles together and it was a wakeup call to consider how erratic I was with my fighting. There's just no sense of danger when entering battle when you know you'll just have to give up a stimpack to get the dog moving again.
You don't even need to do that, they'll just resurrect after the battle by themselves. I totally agree though, I'm actually thinking about going solo for the rest of the game so there's a better sense of peril
Dogmeat's the worst companion which is disappointing because it's ideally the one I'd WANT to be with me the most. I might just round up all my companions at some point and command them to all stay in a certain place in one of my settlements, then build an inescapable pen around all of them. No idea if they'd actually stay there after I'd left but I really hope they would so I could have my very own companion zoo
