Wun Wun stole the episode. What a BADASS!
Having the fight take up half the episode was a cool choice. Definitely one of the best parts of this season. Only problem I had with it is I still think the Night's King's look is cheesy but meh. I also still don't get why they make some of the wights be skeletons, they're way more threatening/creepy as blue-eyed 'humans' and I don't remember skeletons ever being a thing in the books
Also I half-expected the episode to end with "dead things in the water" popping up
Reek's admission about Bran/Rickon was really good |
yeah that scene stuck out to me the most outside of the Hardhome battle. I think that was Sansa's best performed scene yet. And I really liked that shot of Sansa/Reek's silhouetted faces

ya same
Why do they take out all of these little classic lines you guys like so much? It seems like every episode you guys are waiting for a classic line and it never comes or it's changed for the worst. That would PISS ME OFF!!! |
well to be fair the Hardhome plot was completely different on the show anyway. Jon never goes there and we never see anything firsthand except for the cryptic "dead things" report that comes back. All things considered I like the show's version much better, especially for the fact that we finally got to see the white walkers' army in action after all this time
I think the funniest change this episode was changing Arya's assumed identity from "Cat of the Canals" to "Lana of the Canals". After all the book readers got upset about changing "Only Cat" to "Your sister" they went and got rid of another 'Cat'. I have no idea why they chose to do it this time but it's kinda funny |
