Thought I'd get this up early for sum pre-episode discussion!
SO PUMPED. According to most book readers this could be the best season yet

I just finished rewatching S3 for the first time last night. So good. I'd forgotten about how some of the storylines ended. There's so many I can't wait to see play out in S4
Stannis and the Walkers, Yara saving Theon, the adventures of The Hound and Arya, Bran's quest for the raven, THE NORTH REMEMBERS, all should be great
and of course
|
This PURPLE WEDDING I've heard so much about and am partially spoiled for unfortunately
|
Unless it's a foiler, I know that Joffrey dies. Don't confirm or deny that obviously! For some reason I was foiled on Tyrion dying at the end of S1 so there's always HOAP when I accidentally read things like this that it's just misinformation (:
That's all I know though, I don't know how/why/etc. I SWEAR TO GOD IF MARGAERY DIES I WILL BE FUCKING DISTRAUGHT |

And yeah I haven't really been invested in Dany since S1. I still liked her/was rooting for her in S2 but the story started to get boring then. And then she just turned SMUG in S3
I'm thinking/hoping she's being set up for a big setback soon. Otherwise it's gonna be pretty dull just seeing her steamroll her way across Westeros with her gigantic army, dragons, and powerful Queensguard (:

Pretty good premiere!
That ending was the shit. I really hope Arya and The Hound stay on as a duo. I doubt she's actually gonna get dumped off with Lysa Arryn. That would SUCK! And I lol'd at The Hound using Omar's "man's gotta have a code" line
Dany's dragons are getting FEISTY!! New Daario sucks. I didn't really like the original one but at least he was INTERESTING. The new one just seems so bland. And o yay another slave liberation!!!!!!! My prediction: the city gets scared and releases all their slaves, but Dany's so pissed that she kills all the masters anyway
The Martells seem...interesting! That prince is pretty badass for not giving a shit if Tywin knows he's here and wanting to kill Lannisters. |
The first scene with his wife reminded me so much of the MEECHUM THREESUM |
I really liked the Sansa/fool scene. That was actually...kinda heartwarming! I wonder what terrible consequences it'll have
Jaime's gone back to unlikable for me. I KNEW he wouldn't give a shit about his promise after he actually returned to King's Landing. I did feel a little bad for him in the Joffrey scene though
Tywin melting down Ice was :(

I really hope they don't play up Grey Worm having a thing for Dany because she's already got two guys vying for her love no more please. |
Might be kind of hard for him to have a 'thing' for anyone (:

Scratch that, the hilarious statue of Joffrey was the best part |
We all burst out in laughter at that part. So unintentionally funny. |
I'm pretty sure it was intentional (:

I still don't get why Oberyn is there if he hates Lannisters but he is keeping their little girl safe? They didnt explain that well at all. |
Are you talking about Myrcella? She was shipped to Dorne to get married off there. Wouldn't make a lot of sense for him to kill a relative's wife (:

Go on, please... I'm still not getting this.
Also, the Joffrey statue was not intentional. It was to remind us he is the one true King. |
Myrcella was shipped to Dorne. Dorne is where Oberyn and the other Martells are from. Myrcella was shipped there to get married to one of them. It wouldn't make sense for Oberyn to kill her since she's soon to be part of his family (or already is, idk). He doesn't have such reservations about the other Lannisters, because the rest aren't, y'know, married to any of his relatives
In the show's universe the statue wasn't intended to be funny, but it obviously was by the writers
