I've been rewatching the whole shoe over the past few weeks. Should finish season 4 right before season 5 starts up. Really NEAT seeing the intro of some characters like |
Tio and Gus while knowing their ultimate fates |

I have to say, my only concern is that I didn't watch it when it aired. I watched in bulk with hardly a break between episodes. I'm wondering if it's a show that comes across better in one sitting without the week's break. |
Well I watched the first 3 seasons pretty quickly and season 4 was my first time watching live. I'd say the early episodes where the stage is being SET is a little more FRUSTRATING when you're watching live but once it got going during the second half of the season I enjoyed it just as much as before. It's nice having the anticipation in the week leading up to it rather than being able to click the next episode right away

I haven't watched any promos at all. I'm going completely blind into this season
Also I got up to Crawl Space in my rewatch and goddamn that ending still gives me chills. So fucking amazing. The music, the acting... everything's perfect.

o lawd that opening scene. VERY INTRIGUING. I'm sure Walt Jr would be very disappointed in his dad not finishing his breakfast!
Good, if not great episode. The seasons always tend to get better and better as they go along so this BODES WELL. I think that was definitely better than last season's premiere. I loved seeing the superlab aftermath. And seeing Walt/Jesse pulling off a CAPER ala the methylamine heist was great. Felt like OLD TIMES. "YEAH, BITCH! MAGNETS!"

Oh and I totally called |
Ted still being alive. Though I have a FEELING that he's not gonna stay quiet forever. Otherwise I don't see much reason (story-wise) for them to keep him alive. Or maybe WALT will get his revenge.
It was pretty great seeing Ted so terrified of Skyler |

How did you guys read Skyler's response to Ted? Was she being threatening and manipulative or just playing the part? Because she clearly knows how deep she is in this based on the ending. |
My first impression was she was power-tripping. She likes the power just as much as Walt. Because she was only apologetic to Ted up until the point she realized how terrified he was of her
But I could also see it being a sort of "friendly" warning like "Good, because if you even think about talking my husband will fuck you up"

@ Roos
I'm under the impression that Walt's very low on funds considering he asked JESSE to pay for him. He probably has a couple hundred thousand left but considering his original figure was $737,000 to pay for his family that's not gonna be nearly enough for him. He was out of the game in season 2 and then he realized he missed the power and the whole "Stay out of my territory" thing happened and he was right back in
Should be interesting to see what his new plan of attack is considering the RV and superlab are gone

WTF btw.: Saul somehow gave the "poison" to the little guy...brock?! Damn Saul, lawyers rly got no soul it seems. He said he didn't know what'd happen etc.....well. |
nah Huell took away Jesse's ricin cigarette so it'd LOOK like that's what poisoned Brock, when it was really Walt poisoning him with the Lily of the Valley berries. He was in on the plan but didn't do the actual poisoning. Though I still don't know how Walt managed to plant the berries in Brock's food!

I assumed from that scene that Walt had got Saul/Huell to replace a regular cigarette with one tainted by the Lily of the Valley berries? |
lol wouldn't that just end up poisoning Jesse, not Brock?
EDIT: Yeah the cigarette thing was just something to get Jesse to momentarily believe that Gus did the poisoning

Walt then SOMEHOW gets him to believe Gus poisoned Brock with the cigarette which I'm still not clear on |
Basically he told him that since Gus had involved kids in the past, he'd have no problem doing it again, and because Gus has cameras everywhere he knew about the cigarette and had Tyrus lift it out of Jesse's locker, and all of it was a ploy to get Jesse to be okay with Walt dying, since that was the only thing keeping Walt alive

So glad that never happened. I can't imagine anyone but Cranston in the role, especially not THOSE TWO
