o hi
really not much to go on. Pretty much typical D1 I guess (: I've never been a huge fan of lynch-the-inactive on D1, but it looks like there isn't one anyway, sooo
I looked at Samm and Paco's posts and really didn't see whatever Matt and Paul are seeing. tbh the only post that struck me as maaaybe scummy is the 317 post that Henry pointed out. I'll wait it out a bit before voting but that's probably where my vote is going today

Seriously, there is so little to go on its insane. Its like nitpicking at this point to try and find a reason to lynch someone.
I looked at 317's post just now again and it does look like the most scummy thing that has been said and that's really reaching since I don't think it was all that bad. |
THIS post actually struck me as a bit scummy!! (:

Jen has been here a lot without saying anything. Not that there's much to say, but everyone else seems to be making due.
That interests me more than a day 1 post that sits slightly weird in the cockles of the heart. |
to be fair she seems to be like that in most mafias. But if we want to go for an inactive lynch, Jen would definitely be the closest thing right now
but right now I'm actually gonna ##lynch: Vic.

^ this post just struck me as scummy for some reason. As much as a D1 post can anyway!
It's like he's endorsing a 317 lynch but then immediately distancing himself by saying "...but it wasn't all that bad." Kinda along the lines of what Paul was saying earlier, it's like he's trying to "direct" the dirty work without actually wanting to take part in it himself.

I feel like either Ari or Vic are scum and their scumbuddies might be trying to save them right now. Or maybe it's just D1 sillies (:

Also suggesting a No Lynch always strikes me as scummy. But I also feel like scum would be smart enough by now not to fall into that trap (:

QUESTION lol
Both Boc and Curtis have implied that aiming for no lynch on day 1 is scummy.
I'm not SUSPECTING you at all, I'm just curious as to why this would be beneficial to scum. I guess it's something you understand the more you play, but it seems to be like it would be more beneficial to town? Since town to scum ratio is generally quite high, the likelihood of lynching a townie on day 1 is pretty high in any case. Plz ENLIGHTEN ME as to how NOT wasting a townie (most likely outcome of blind lynching) would be in mafia's interest! |
Because a no lynch gives the town no information. Lynches are the single best source of information for the town since you can't just rely on your investigative roles who might die before they give their info anyway. A no lynch on D1 gives you nothing to go off of on D2 so it's basically like another D1. D1 lynches are rarely successful but they're a necessary evil to get the ball rolling and start gathering info on scum by looking at voting (or non-voting)/discussion patterns
also scum are typically the ones who suggest no lynches but that's just metagaming (:
