anyone played this? I picked it up on sale off the heels of the last movie. Wasn't expecting MUCH but I'd heard a lot of good things about it, p enjoyable so far! Was really hard to get into at first cuz of how much I like the movies (and I'd say every character, as well as the writing, is still superior in that) but I'm warming up to it. Gamora's probably the only clear miscast voice-wise

The worldbuilding and character design are both really good though, especially the latter with all the different creatures they've come up with. That's one aspect that is at least equal to the movies so far

might actually try out the Telltale one after this if I'm still on enough of a kick (still got a ways to go with this one tho) (: This one does have some choice-based branching paths itself which is cool

Also "Notice: Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series is no longer available on the Steam store." Didn't realize some Telltale games were purged from Steam when they went under. Not all tho? Weird

yeah you can only get that one on disc now, all their games got yanked initially but some were added back if they regained the rights at the resurrected studio

almost done with this. Def not perfect but a lot to like, it's even hit on some emotional beats pretty well

I really like their take on Mantis

The huddle feature is incredibly corny but it's worth it just for the music it plays afterwards. Just wish there was a way to turn the music on without the rest of it (: Nothing like hearing Bad Reputation or Don't Worry Be Happy over a big battle, best battle music since Fallout 4

I'm not someone who's completionist in almost any game but finding all the skins in this has me hooked (helps that there's not nearly as many things to collect as some games), one of Drax's skins that I found in particular is 10/10. I like the little quips from the other characters they include when you inevitably go the opposite direction of the objective to search for things, the game in general has an insane amount of dialogue in it (one could argue TOO much!)

out of the core five characters, Peter's the only one that I'm not really feeling in this. I feel like they made him a bit too much of a stiff, def more leader-like but missing some charisma and should be a bit more of an a-hole

Drax is probably the best one here

so I ended up trying out the Telltale version, mostly for comparison's sake and...oof. I don't even know if I'll be able to finish the first ep, it's pretty rough

definitely makes this game look even better in comparison
