o I've actually started watching this lately (: I'm about halfway through

It's pretty decent. Nothing great but watchable. The writing can get pretty bad at times tho

and Crazy Eyes is the best character

I was not expecting that ending. That was pretty great. Piper's becoming a HARDENED THUG! brief thots on characters: Piper is annoying as shit. I'm glad she got DOUBLE-DUMPED by Alex and Larry at the end Alex annoyed me too for a long while but she became pretty tolerable when she turned on Piper Crazy Eyes is still the best Mendez is hilarious. I love that actor. NICKY on The Wire and this character are such totally different characters but both are two of my favorites on their respective shows SPEAKING OF THE WIRE! I was convinced that CAPUTO was played by the same guy that plays Spiros for a while but apparently that's not the case. And THEN I thought the guy who played the police chief on True Detective was played by Caputo's actor but it turns out HE was played by Spiros' actor! wut a bunch of wacky hijinks Pennsatucky's a p good character but I just wish they didn't make her into such a one-dimensional caricature. She could be so much better. After she got released from the psych ward I thought we were gonna start seeing some DEPTH but then she just completely turned into a cartoony villain I like the Mexican chicks running the kitchen. DOWN WITH RED!!!! That track star is one of my favorites and I wish she'd get more screentime/characterization I hate the yoga chick's voice so much. She'd be my least favorite character if it wasn't for her backstory making me feel sorry for her I wonder what Poussey's deal is. For such a major character it's weird we haven't gotten any flashback or explanation for why she's in there. Unless I missed something I like Sophia quite a bit. I wish she'd get more screentime too I was pretty bummed when Tricia died. I liked her John and Daya's romance feels so forced to me. Like it seems like they barely met in the first couple episodes besides a couple STOLEN GLANCES and suddenly they're madly in love, she's ready to have his baby, and he's ready to risk his job/life to protect her OVERALL P GUD 7/10 WILL WATCH S2

Great start! I'm liking this season better than S1 already

Loved the first episode especially. Some great characters for (presumably) just a one-off episode in that prison. And even though I saw the ending coming a mile away it was great And I really loved the Crazy Eyes centric episode. Still probably my favorite character! Vee's relationship with her was HEARTWARMING tbh Brook seems like she could be interesting. Looking forward to see where they go with her

I never liked Healy at all, but he's really become sympathetic this season. Especially these past couple episodes Healy/Pennsatucky and Crazy Eyes/Lorna hugs were such great moments. And Crazy Eyes sniffing her hair at the end was perfect (: And a MENDEZ shoutout! YES! I forgot about that guy. I can't wait until he comes back into the fold

finished s3 last night. I don't remember too much about S1 but I think I liked S2 better than this one. But this was still pretty good

It didn't really have a driving storyline like S2 did with Vee vs. Red, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but it was pretty different. Besides Caputo's story (and maybe Alex's) it kinda just felt like an amalgamation of side storylines thrown together. I think it really did prove that the show could go on indefinitely if they wanted it to though Suzanne's novel and Big Boo/Pennsatucky were fun. Although I do feel like they made Pennsatucky go a bit out of character to make it more realistic that Boo would actually hang out with her Favorite moments off the top of my head: Nicky being dragged off (not because I was happy about it obv), Poussey/Brook floating in the lake together, Norma's whole episode WHAT HAPPENED TO BENNETT! Is that really how he's gonna leave the show? I was 100% convinced that he'd return by the finale and it'd all be a misunderstanding This season made me hate Caputo and Red slightly less, and it made me hate Piper way, way more. Couldn't the Australian chick just snitch about the pantie business now? She's got nothing to lose now, would be a pretty quick and easy form of revenge The Alex cliffhanger was the dumbest thing. Do they really expect anyone to believe she's dead? That was very soap opera-ish
