I feel like I'm honor-bound to make a joke about me obviously being the superior Jack Frost now. Instead, I'll just tell Nofo to Jack off. :p
I'm with Earthbound on the Simplton thing, but I also think that Boc raises some pretty good points about Jeff, who's not exactly doing a stellar job of defending himself. But then again it's Jeff, so what the hell else is new? |

I'm also a little suspicious of Animal (basically only showed up to cast a lynch vote. Potentially just wanted to make sure that he didn't get any heat for being less active?) and im317 (was asking for votals, but didn't actually cast a vote. Could be he wanted to avoid trains to keep from garnering suspicion.)
Out of those two, I'm most iffy on Animal, since he's got limited availability, but it seems odd that he'd push for a definitive lynch, then, for the same reasons it was weird that Vic cast a lynch vote before peacing out for the rest of the day. I don't really see either of those necessarily being more scummy than Jeff or Simplton, but it's worth keeping an eye on. |

The Matt death is a consequence of the Nofo death, according to the flavor, so that doesn't really tell us anything except that our cop is now boned.
The Nofo death could be someone randomly trying to divert suspicion onto me, because of Nofo's random lynch last round, or it could have just been a random target. It's hard to tell with day 1 lynches.
Also, Simplton - if you actually think that experience will earn you respect (here or anywhere else on the internet), you have my profound sympathies. |

You didn't really "blow up" until you got called out tbh |
Only out of the stubbornness and feeling like you guys have no idea where I'm coming from. Look at it from my point of view. Is it really worth risking hitting the cop, medic, orc, vig, etc? Just to see people's lynches on D1 where there is next to no basis? Yes it may help late game SLIGHTLY but I think the bad heavily outweighs the good. |
Option 1: no lynch and have virtually nothing to go off of on D2, effectively making it a de facto D1
Option 2: lynch someone and gain information based on who voted for them, who voted for someone else, who didn't vote at all, etc. Best case scenario you hit scum, worst case you might take out a power role (although hopefully they'd claim if that was the case) but get the ball rolling information-wise nevertheless.
And I wasn't even really in favor of the FF train. I hate inactives, but I rarely vote for them. I always try to go for who I think is acting scummy on D1 even if there's hardly anything to go on. BUT with that said I think lynching FF was a FAR better alternative to a no lynch any day. It's just unfortunate that he had a decent role (one which he might've never been around to use) |
I pretty much agree with what Boc said, but I'll also argue the point that from my point of view it's totally worth risking hitting the doctor/cop/whatever if they're inactive. We're already not benefiting from that role, so they're exactly as useful to us dead as they are alive. We might as well know that we can't rely on our doctor or cop because they're dead, rather than having them around and doing nothing, and opening the door for scum to claim that role. |

I can't get this post out of my mind really. I do get Boc's suspicion against Jeff for the way he sorta chastised the bandwagoners yesterday, BUT! "Jeff, who's not exactly doing a stellar job of defending himself". This line seems so scummy to me. I don't know how Jeff is supposed to really defend himself at all in that situation. It was mostly Boc's gut with a few small supporting arguments to back it up. There's really hardly anything to DEFEND in this case I think
Maybe I'm just hung up on the wording and maybe Rob meant Jeff's general RESPONSE wasn't great. I guess I could buy that. But expecting some sort of defense from Jeff based on what little evidence was against him is just weird to me |
Jeff basically was like "you always vote me and you're always wrong, which was a pretty odd thing to do based on the circumstances. If that's a "general response" as opposed to a "defence" then whatever semantic floats your boat. The point is that Jeff didn't really address Boc's accusation and tried to turn the argument into a metagamey thing. To me, that's scummy. |

^ I'm with Shawn on the Jeff thing.
With the lynch though... ugh. I'm torn between the two. It's possible that Perry just kind of stupidly used his role to try and flush who he thought was an obvious mafia, but it's pretty stupid for him to use it that way regardless of what his alignment is. Ari's role does seem kind of mafia-esque, but it seems weird that he'd jump right out and claim it, since he's generally smart enough to know that we'd think that kind of thing is pretty scummy. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if both of these guys turned out to be town.
Still... I'm going to ##lynch Ari.
I have a hard time believing that any mafia team in the world would support Perry deciding to use that role this early in the game unless they were deliberately trying to get him killed. The fact that nobody talked him out of this makes me think that he was acting alone. Foolishly, but alone.
