Finally got around to this game after loving the first one. I mostly agree with Spencer.

Overall, I'd say it was really hit or miss with me. I felt like the first two episodes were overall good, and then it was a hard downhill turn until the last one.
The mystery with Karen was basically carrying the game as far as my interest. It had so much potential, and then it was a huge letdown for it just to be "this whole 'being a mom' stuff was really cutting into my ME TIME so I ditched my kid and infant son to go live in a trailer YOLO...but I almost sent a birthday card one time plz empathize".
I also thought a lot of the game wasn't making sense. Example being that the Seattle cop is likely dead from severe blunt trauma, the car is thrown across the street, light posts are bent, but no traces of an actual explosion. The conclusion based on the newspaper clipping you find is that Sean must have...shot the cop? There was a lot of this where I was like, "surely I'm going to have the option for Sean to point this stuff out to other characters" and then it never happened each time.
The choices themselves felt way too forced and seemed like they didn't matter or hold much weight a lot of the time aside from what ending you get. For example, when Sean is sleeping in the car and is accosted by rednecks, you have the option to try driving away, and then it does nothing. Some characters could die as a result of your choices, but you don't know them long enough for their death to be impactful. I'm biased here because I didn't like a lot of the characters much, anyway, but they didn't even stick around enough to potentially grow on me like some did in the first one.
Anyway, yeah, just wanted to add my thoughts to this! I'll probably play the next one once all the episodes are out again, but this was definitely a big step down from LiS 1 in my opinion. Or, maybe this one just wasn't for me. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
