We had a bit of family drama over not doing thanksgiving, which I'm the one that originally pushed for us to cancel it. Everything's cool now tho, and we're all doing household-only dinners but dropping off food for each other

naw, there used to be one not far at all but they shut it down in August. Closest is now the hospital so i'm just gonna see what they think

TBH besides the fever I feel fine. If it was any other year I would shrug and go on as Normal. As it stands tho I live with a 90 year old so I need to be careful

Got my test at the hospital today. It was actually in an isolated side building, and you had to make appointments which were open for 10 minute intervals. It was a pretty good system, only their pull doors aren't automatic to go in and there's no button, so all these people being tested are all using the same door handle to get in. A bit shortsighted!

When I went to the eye doctor (which is in a hospital building thats disconnected from the main hospital but still a part of the complex) on Thursday I overheard two nurses talking in the lowest whisper they could muster, but I have reallu good ears.

They seemed to be saying that one of the new strains was suspected to be in the hospital
