I saw a bot reading this thread and decided to read it. A few days ago was my mom's birthday and I told her I would make her a cake for it. However we didn't have any cake mix, were low on flour, and no one really wanted anything except my mom, so I found a recipe to make one of these microwave cakes using bisquick. I an a bisquick guru so I figured I could handle it.

Instead the result was a glod of half-baked horror that tasted like sugary oil and chalk. I took a single test bite and declared it inedible, but my mom decided she felt bad for my 5 minute baking failure and ate the whole thing. Then she was sick for the rest of her birthday (: Oops
