also i just got caught up from page 6, and i'm just going to say STOP IT with the theories that i'm scum!!!

If I was scum I would have played that gun thing entirely differently instead of breadcrumbing all day. THOUGH I will admit I was going to shoot shadow over Maddie until Zersch confirmed his results.

But when I shot her I'm pretty sure she wasn't leading for the day. I think it was shadow or vladdy, though I'm pretty sure there weren't many votes either way that day.

So I dunno why my gun worked but the lie detection didn't. It seems a little fishy!

BUT I noticed when I was still only softclaiming the gun that no one was really acknowledging what I had, or acting like they knew what was going on. I'd say usually if you trust a fellow townie enough to give them a gun, you'd give them some sort of hint as to how to use it or at least that they're in on the joke with you. A liked post, or a joke, or something. And there was none of that. I gave PLENTY of openings for it too (:

It's part of why I was so paranoid that it was going to blow my own face off (along ith the fact that we already had a probable dayvig, why would both a vig and a gunsmith be town aligned?), and why i made sure to be clear about what I was doing with the gun and when, because I didn't trust it.


SO, theory, assuming spin's not just full of shit, which is definitely possible (but i don't feel like it's the case from the way he handled the gift): Maybe the gun is the result of a mafia jack or inventor, and they decided to hand out a good gun to a random townie as a way to legitimize their gifts.

I think in most cases it would be for their benefit. A townie more than likely shoots another townie, a kill is added to the game. If the townie announces things, they look bad for a misfire. Also the gun's mechanics seemed to imply I was going to be secretly shooting the gun, but I was mentioned in flavor (but how could i not be tbh), so that's a possible way it may have been "trapped."

And in the worst case scenario for scum, I kill scum with the gun, the lie detector becomes a lot more trustworthy and leads to more chaos (and the probably death of another townie) when it turns out to be full of shit, and either the person with the lie detector or the person with the gun or both look fishy and all attention gets diverted there.

Could be a mix of role cop and just bullshitting. It's a pretty safe fake claim until a mass claim hits because you can't prove nonexistence until that point

you know well i got the whole Shaggy and Scooby are eating because there high thing before, i never considered that Scoobie Snacks themselves were edibles. it makes a lot of sense in hindsight, why else would both Shaggy and Scooby be willing to do things there terrified of for them when they both normally eat regular people food.
